Lest It Be Forgotten

Some things should never be forgotten. U.S. Independence Day, your mom's birthday, to lock your house's or car's doors, to take out the  dog, to feed the fish - but not too much, to tell your kids you love them and show it, to give your spouse true affection and so on. There are a couple of others we should never forget though they were terrible: the Holocaust is one although somehow we seem to forget all the others killed in the camps so remember them too, there were 12 to 13 million. (Over the years, from what I have seen, that number has decreased and I have heard or read that it is now supposedly as low as 11 million; although, the amount of Jewish folks killed has never decreased by much if anything, it is just the amount of non Jews somehow has fallen and that sounds like wokeness to me.)

 

Today is the anniversary of yet another truly horrible event, one that no one alive should be ignorant of and once made aware of it should definitely never forget. August 6 in 1945 - 78 years ago -  was truly the day that Oppenheimer became Death the Destroyer of worlds. On that day, the United States of America bombed Hiroshima, Japan and caused the deaths of about 130,000 people (some immediately, some over several months who died of their wounds and others who died years later due to cancer caused by radiation). Little Boy did its job but not quite awesomely nor fast enough. A few days later on August 9, 1945, the U.S. bombed Nagasaki, another major Japanese city, killing and maiming many more. Fat Man finally brought about the surrender of the once mighty Japan - well that with the entry of the USSR into the war on Japan and the invasion of Manchuria. 

 

Had we waited a few weeks longer, Japan would have likely as surrendered by then but other allied troops would have persihed. While many like to believe that Truman (as in the then the US President) gave the orders to drop the bombs to end the war and save allied lives; I have to wonder if at least the second bomb was more for effect, maybe even the first one too, of warning other nations we had it, we used it, we have more of them. Truman, he was a democrat and throughout my 6 decades plus of living, I have come to believe that democrats are usually the worst of the war mongers out of our political parties in the US and thus I wonder for his reasons for at least the second one. As for the dems, they also seem to be the worst at & of everything and mind you I am an independent unaffiliated with any political party. Years ago, maybe now more than a decade, I left party I was in out of disgust and that was not the Democrat party. They both suck so don't think I said that about the dems because I am of the other major party types. It is merely my opinion that they are the most terrible of the two major parties and that other one of the two is not far behind them. I digress so back to the bombings.

 

Little Boy and Fat Man were the only two atomic (nuclear) bombs ever used in warfare and ever used to purposefully kill  massive amounts of people. Setting off those two bombs led in great part to the defeat of Japan, which surrendered to the allies only days later on August 15. They also undoubtedly saved the lives of many allied troops; yet, as I said I wonder a lot about the need for the second one and sometimes I wonder if we really needed the first one. Whatever you or I make of them, those bombings were nonetheless two of the most horrific events, over the course of only two days, to have ever befallen mankind. More about this at the sources:

My hope is no one ever forgets but the reality is that more and more nations have acquired the knowledge, technology and resources to manufacture modern nuclear weapons that are much more powerful and thus would be much more deadly should they ever be used. None of the nations that have them, including the United States seem to pay much attention to history nor do they seemingly have the foresight to realize what will happen if they unleash a nuclear war in which many nations have nukes. Obviously, Russia has a large arsenal of nuclear weapons and very recently has threatened to use them in the war in the Ukraine or to attack allies of the Ukraine if allied troops are sent there to support them. Yet, world leaders of nations that have nukes frequently talk about disarmament. Then when questioned as to why they have not disarmed their nukes they give the excuse for keeping nukes as being a deterrent against nations who are still armed with them. What a screwy fruit loopy loop of illogical balderdash is that because no one will ever take the first step at nuclear weapons disarmament thinking like that! 

 

I remember something screwy from my history lessons (when real world history was taught and not the woke variety). In those lessons I learned a bit about World War I. The thing about World War I is that it had a couple of names other than WW I; one of which was "The Great War". Then there was the other name for it; that one as imbecilic as the deterrent excuse world leaders of today use to downplay why we have not yet totally disarmed all nuclear weapons.  Yep one of the names for WW I was as lame as the deterrent excuse and it was: "The War To End All Wars". It did not live up to that name.

 

So yeah, I expect sooner or later that a country like Russia, China, North Korea, Pakistan or Iran will launch nukes as a first strike against the US. Then again, who knows, we have a president right now who seems to think he is this guy:

So maybe the US will be the one to launch the first strike.

 

Thinking along those lines, some folks think that sooner or later, because of power hungry & demented leaders, Einstein's prediction about the aftermath of WW III will come to pass - that is unless the war mongering attitudes of so called world leaders is changed drastically and their attitudes do not seem to be going in a direction to avoid another WW.  So what was Einstein's prediction:  

 

"I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." 

 

Einstein was a genius but I am doubtful he got that one quite right. I tend to think that if there ever is a WW III, one in which nukes are used, there will never be a WW IV. That's because there won't be anyone left to fight WW IV except maybe the roaches and rats and even if humans survive, all the sticks will have been burned to ash and the stones melted to slag or vitrified.

If you are short on 5.56x45mm ammo, I suggest you had best buy it now because sources have been quoted as saying Winchester has been ordered to stop selling Lake City M855 and SS109 to the civilian market. According to an article I just read, that ammo supposedly makes up about 30% of the 5.56 ammo in the market. Now, while that may be true, I think that figure seems rather high but if the Biden Administration actually put out such an order it will definitely adversely affect ammo supplies. I look at it this way, as long as you don't need to hump it over hill and over dale - you cannot have enough ammo. Makes me think of the old movie Gunga Din with Sam Jaffe in the title roll. At one point, in battle, the troops called out to him:

Anyway, I think we'd each be better off today to consider ourselves our own Gunga Dins of sorts and thus tell ourselves: "Buy Ammo Gunga Din, Gunga Din Buy Ammo"! Why? It maybe is about to be in even shorter supply than it was last year and that will mean one thing besides less supply and that one thing is much higher prices. 

 

So if you want to be ready for the civil war that I sadly believe is coming - because the leftists seem to be pushing for it (although, I hope I am wrong about that) by way of brainwashing our children, by turning men into women and women into men, by ripping full term babies out of a mother's womb and calling it legal abortion, by not only being easy on criminals but by actually facilitating crime with passage of laws and regulations that amount to doing nothing to prosecute, by creating the worst inflation in over 40 years, by destroying our ability to be energy independent, and by destroying our rights & liberties bit by bit and day by day - get your ammo while the getting is good at least still possible. I surely hope though it will never actually be needed for a civil war against enemies of the Constitution nor to overthrow a tyrannical government but then again the possibility of things like that that is why the Framer's of the Constitution & of the Bill of Rights thought up & wrote in the 2nd Amendment.

All This Political Shit...

 ...has got me down in the dumps. Well, that and my infirmities. In the recent past, I have found myself sometimes wishing I was a younger man now and again when I meet an extremely enticingly fine looking woman who acts a bit more than merely distantly friendly toward me. Lately though, I have found myself wishing for my lost youthful vim for a very different reason. That would be because of the current political situation in these United States. I find what the left has been doing to be abhorrent as they openly attempt to destroy our rights & liberties under the Constitution and change our government to another form. They readily accept, with glee, the possibility that they will soon transform this country to a new nation under a new system (to us) such as socialism, fascism or communism or a combination of all three. In other words, they seek to create a tyrannical and oppressive government under which they will rule with an iron thumb. 

What loyal American, who has lived by the principles of justice as expressed within our founding legal document - the Declaration of Independence - and who lived by the basic principles of law and rights as set by our Constitution and Bill of Rights would not oppose such a change. The day is coming soon, I think, when an armed revolution will take place though I hope not, I feel it almost unavoidable. Just look at what the dems fear about the inauguration and at how the FBI is vetting national 25,000 Guard troops (source) for Biden's swearing in on January 20th because they fear a conspiracy to assure he will not become president. You do not do that unless you are fairly certain the threat is real. They fear & know (I think we all expect) it is coming - that it being a revolution - and they fear it greatly. What they seem to always ignore is that it will have been their actions that will have spurred it on.

It will not come from the left, almost as it seemed it would beginning last summer when BLM & ANTIFA types protested, then looted, rioted, committed arson, assaults and other crimes to include even homicide while declaring parts of cities to be autonomous zones - all as part of an evident insurrection. That uprising was in some cases actually openly supported by leftists (such as by Kamala Harris out VP elect and local mayors and lib state governors). No, it will not come from there. It will come from the right as evidenced by the attack on the Capital. And mind you, I can call what happened at the Capital nothing more or less than an attack (unplanned, as I believe it to have been for the most part, with most folks merely following others once it started). I believe though the next such actions will be much better planned & organized and will be much more violent.

I'd rather not see any of this happening right now or ever. I would much prefer that we all could live as Americans under the laws of our great nation as set down by our Founding Fathers and by the Framers of the Constitution & the Bill of Rights. Sadly though, forces that would see this nation transformed to a totalitarian state, by whatever means possible (such as the Russian Collusion investigation), will soon make living in our country under our Constitution & Bill of Rights - as free citizens and legal resident aliens - impossible; heck it already is impossible but is about to get much worse in my belief. Well maybe I should say, it will be at least very improbable without an uprising first putting down the forces that seeks to destroy the basis of our laws and transform us into a nation divided and ruled by an oppressive authoritarian form of government. 

I do not look forward to that day. If it comes down to an outright revolution to defend & preserve the Constitution & Bill of Rights - I hope to have balls of steel to do the right thing when the time arrives regardless of age or infirmity. I have always stood to defend the Constitution & Bill of Rights in the past and see no reason to stop now; I just hope the mess we are in can be resolved peacefully and that sanity and adherence to the Constitution & Bill of Rights will once again be the norm in the USA.

244 Years Later - Is It Time To Take Another Shot?

 


Today is the 244th anniversary of The Shot Heard Round The World (the commencement of the American Revolution at Lexington Green). Sometimes, I think it is high time for a second shot heard over the same expanse because of all of this socialistic, communistic, tyrannical oppression heaped upon our shoulders by the governors of many, but thankfully not all, our states and oft times by federal politicians. If that is not enough to trigger another such shot then I imagine we are doomed to wear the yoke of those who fawn for rule by tyrants and are enslaved by the false security they offer at the expense of our liberty. Liberty to exercise our right to overthrow tyrants, supported by our right to keep and bear arms, is the only thing that keeps us truly secure but we must exercise that liberty from time to time!

Just read a very interesting and what quite possibly will amount to a prediction if Clinton is elected. It is in essence a warning to the left but I think it is also a good reminder to those who are not on that side as to what we may have to do to regain our Constitutional Republic if things come to the worst. The Obamessiah Obsession

It is a good warning appropriate and applicable to the politics of today, especially so to our current administration under President Obama. Will it be heeded? I tend to doubt it, not at least until it is too late and certainly not before almost irreparable harm has been done to our nation and to our Constitution. Why is this so? Under President Obama, and under politics of the far left in general, too many people want to be among the moral busybodies who need, who are compelled by their own egos, to do good for others, to make sure that we live life as we should but always according to them. Too many believe they are in some way morally, intellectually, politically, financially, ethically, or somehow else superior to the rest of us and they are of the firm belief that they must make life better for the rest of us by ruling over us with the full force of a tyranny. They are compelled by their own conscience, their own inner demons, to do so; now the rest of us must suffer the whims, urges, compulsions, of these demons while they who exercise their will over us take solace from those same demons as if sent from Heaven itself. Sooner or later this form of government, the Nanny State as we call it today, or that of the 'benign' Depot, leads to one thing and one thing alone - revolution! The sad result is that revolution all too often results in the same type of government all over again. With luck though, and with hard work - good planning - a realization that each of us is worth his salt if we have earned it (and earn it we must), then at least for a brief spell in the scheme of things tyranny will be defeated and something akin to our great Republic will be the type of government to emerge from the battle for self rule as governed by law, and for freedom and liberty. One can only hope that someone in Washington will come to the realization that we are more than barnyard animals or mindless imbeciles before it is too late.

Gun Sales Up Over Gun Grabbing Fears - and Yes I Will...

Before I told you so, I was busy ordering 1,000 rounds of 7.62x39 ammo, and a new Yugo SKS as I wrote about here:

And right before that I had told you that Obama was projected as the winner of the election and that I had no time to write about it because I had to do some shopping, I said that here:

The sad thing is I do not have enough ready cash to order more firearms. I still may have to order some on plastic and pay the piper, or would that be the money grubbing banker, those high interest rates for credit card purchases. Oh well.

Hopefully the order for the Yugo SKS will not fall through. I lost my credit card right after ordering it, and have since had to cancel it, and VISA will be sending me new ones. Of course SAMCO had not gotten around to charging my card for the rifle I ordered. I called them and they said to send an email about the problem telling them how i wanted to pay. I sent the email asking them to call for my AMEX number once they get to my order. Funny, for some reason they are backlogged several days on orders!

If you think that the fears of those whom are stocking up on firearms and ammo like there will be no tomorrow, or at least like there will be no right to keep and bear arms tomorrow, are unfounded fears - then just let me tell you - you are wrong. Weapons, including so called assault weapons, belong just as much on our streets, and in our homes, and in the hands of We The People, as they belong on foreign battlefields. Why? Well, because the 2nd Amendment was added to The Bill of Rights in order to make sure that it would never be forgotten that We The People have the power to overthrow any government that would resort to tyranny. How could a government today resort to tyranny and use it to put down the people? By taking away their firearms, the same ones meant to prevent tyrants from oppressing us. This is the way it commences each time a tyrant comes to power. If you do not believe me then check the history books about Georgia, Cambodia, Russia, The Soviet Union, at least a dozen countries in Africa, Venezuela, China, North Korea, and so forth. Don't believe the bull crap that they want to restrict firearms ownership to fight crime. Just look to England, Australia, and France to see that tough gun control laws do not work - heck look no further than Washington, DC where the strictest gun control laws in our nation were in effect and the violent crime rate just kept going up, up and up. Why - because citizens could not defend themselves and criminals knew that. look to Texas to see how violent crime, and the numbers of violent crime victims fell. Why?" Because of the fact that not only can citizens of Texas carry firearms, but they are allowed to shoot bad guys with them to for so much as the bad guys breaking into their homes.

Look at the rest of the drivel they wrote. Of what Gun Show Loophole do they speak. There are no Gun Show Loopholes; there is only excessive restriction put on sales of forearms between individuals at Gun Shows. Why do I need to have a NICS check run on someone to whom I sell a single gun at a gun show when I do so as a private citizen, and when I do not need to do the same when I sell that gun to the same person anywhere else? On another issue why will my guns have to be made childproof when my car, my matches, my oven, my stove, my refrigerator, my steak knives, my bow and arrows, my booze, my power tools, my electrical outlets, my razor blades, and on and on and on do not have to be made childproof?

Folks all I have to say after reading that, and remember how Barack Hussein Obama tried to pass himself off as a friend of firearms owners and a supporter of the 2nd Amendment, is that you ought to be afraid of this man - very afraid. If you voted for him, you were out of your minds. Yeah, I know I said we need to show him respect, but guess what, I also said until he shows he does not deserve it any longer. First with his appointment of the biggest hate monger in DC as his chief of staff, and now with this website he has proven to me he is not worthy of that respect except as I need to show it to him as a member of the executive branch of the government. Yes I will show all DUE respect to him as his position calls for as part of my employment, but that is about it. I will not respect policies to reinstate the Assault Weapons ban, to disarm lawful American Citizens, to make a mockery of the 2nd Amendment, or to turn this nation into a tyrannical and oppressive government. I will do everything legally in my power to oppose him and to prevent him from doing these things. As I recall he will be sworn to uphold The Constitution, not to deface or destroy it or any part of it.

Socialist Takeover of U.S. Oil Companies On The Agenda, How Far Behind Is Tyranny

What can I say folks, you heard her say it; there is no doubt she wants to socialize our economy with a government takeover of businesses like the oil companies. I have no great liking for those price gouging businessmen, but I do much prefer a free market and our Republic over anything that a big mouthed apparent communist loving and socialist loving politician like Maxine Waters has to offer. What do you think she would do next if her bid for a government takeover of the oil companies was successful? How she remains within her political office is far beyond my comprehension except for the fact that she was elected in the 35th District of California. She not only, in my opinion, deserves to be removed from office, but probably to apologize to the nation and to promise she will never again accept political or public office.

If you live within the 35th District of California, that she supposedly represents, I think you should consider doing all you legally can do to get her out of office because I think If left to folks like her our country would be on its knees in no time, and 'we the people' would be 'we the oppressed'. As a matter of fact, everyone who has access to a keyboard or a pen can write to her to denounce her statement, or call her to do the same, and to insist that she step down from political office. Will it work - hell probably not - because she is, in my personal opinion, a pompous ass; but it will remind the rest of them in Congress that we will not stand for the likes of her trying to get away with things like this; and most of the rest of them have brains between their ears. Heck if enough stink is made about this, maybe her constituents will wake up. When her reelection stint comes back around - I would think that you would want to vote her out of office if you want to do yourself a favor.

The Arguments Against The 2nd Amendment...

...have in recent decades have quite often, among other things, pointed out the so called fact that the people no longer have anything to fear from their government, therefore the idea of a well regulated militia, made up of armed citizens, to combat a tyrannical government is preposterous. Charles Schumer is one of the big proponents of this type of thinking, or should I call it anti-gun propaganda. There are many other examples of gun-control advocates who have used the same type of reasoning to try to take away the guns of the American citizen. The truth of the matter is though that their reasoning is quite faulty. Time and time again, the left, yes I mean the liberals (even those who wear Republican garb, such as GWB, and have no doubt he is mostly quite liberal in his policies) want to take away the rights of the American people, or shave them down to make it less prickly for themselves to remain in power while bamboozling the rest of us. The right to celebrate your religious beliefs is one right they have whittled away, the right to freedom of speech is another they are attempting to cut back as witnessed by them trying to limit conservative radio talk shows, the right to be protected from searches without probable cause is another (Patriot Act), and the list goes on. Most importantly though they have tried to destroy our Right To Keep And bear Arms, and as I said they use, among others, the reasoning that we need not fear our government.

Well, case in point, let me point you to this: FBI planned mass arrests in 1950, and to this: Report: Former FBI Director Hoover Planned to Arrest 12,000 Americans Suspected of Disloyalty. Yes that threat may seem old to some of the youngsters out there, but it is not that long ago, nor was it all that long ago that Ruby Ridge took place, nor that the Branch Dividian compound was stormed by federal agencies and troops. Now I do not agree with Communism, I find it an abhorrent form of government. I do not believe that cultism such as the Branch Davidian wackos are a good thing, I think they were nuts and criminals. I do not believe that Randy Weaver was innocent of all crimes of which he was suspected. However, I do believe in rule of law (good, moral laws); and I do believe that in essence our Constitution, and our Bill of Rights, are good and moral laws. I believe that the rights expressed within those documents are in effect sacred. I believe they are worth fighting for and dying for. I also vehemently do not agree with anyone who would violently attempt to overthrow the government of the USA as it now stands (a republic practicing democratic principals), and I believe in upholding the constitution and protecting our nation. Therefore I think that guys like Schumer have it all wrong regarding the 2nd Amendment.

We still need, and always will need, to have the right to keep and bear arms whether for hunting, self defense, or to overthrow tyrants. No, those tyrants, or they who would choose to be tyrants, have not gone away. They are forever lurking just under the radar behind the smiles of of the phony politicians, behind the badges of the corrupt lawmen, in the guise of your next door neighbor (no I am not calling every politician, every lawman or every neighbor a tyrant, I am saying this is how tyrants disguise themselves before trying to overcome us). Tyrants or they who would be tyrants are just waiting to put the knife between our shoulder blades should the opportunity arise. We need to be forever vigilant, but not just that. We also need to be forever ready to fight back against tyranny, and the best way (in my opinion) to be ready is to remain forever armed.
