Well we fought the good fight, but he whooped our candidate, and us, in the electoral vote, not so much in the popular vote, but certainly enough to win. So in the spirit of being an American I must offer my congratulations to President Elect Obama. I can only hope I will not force myself to eat those words later. Yes that means I am not optimistic about the outlook for our country under President Obama, but I will in the best of spirit of being a citizen of the United States of America respect my president (president elect), as you should too, even though many of us will probably disagree with him and the great majority of his policies. So long as he upholds the Constitution and honestly tries to do the best he can for our great nation, then he deserves that respect as president (or as president elect as he is now). Time will tell for how long he deserves it.He is our president elect. He will become, in a couple of months, our president. He will then be our president for at least 4 years. Live with it, get used to it. Keep letting your voices be heard though because that is your legacy from your freedom loving forefathers, it is your right and even your duty as citizens. As you move along through the next 4 years, you will have plenty of time to support him, criticize him, or damn him depending upon his performance. You will also have plenty of time to prepare for the 2012 elections. Think about that and do what is needed to be done in order to assure a strong nation with free citizens who enjoy their rights and liberties under our Constitution.I also wish to offer my condolences to John McCain and his hopes to attain the presidency. To the Republican party all I can say is get your fucking act together better luck next time; and remember - you make your own luck. All the best,Glenn B
