Yesterday, Donald trump announced that he will nominate Marine General James Mattis (Ret.) as secretary of defense (source). Make sure to watch the video that goes with the source article to see to which WWII general Trump compares Mattis. (Hint, there was a movie, about the WWII general, with George C. Scott in the lead role.)
I suppose if Mattis is like that WWII general and if the nomination goes through, we will have a truly qualified military man as Secretary of War Defense. I think that will be much better than emasculating our military command in the manner of Obama.

I know some folks who do this thing each year wherein they wear ugly sweaters for Christmas. I am guessing that the sweaters are supposed to be Christmas themed but if ugly is the main theme then whichever one of them would have the balls to wear this one would be the winner. Not that I would actually expect any of them to wear this one but I mean - you just can't beat it!'

...I might have bought it as soon as I saw it except for one little nit picky thing that bothered me about it. If I am going to spend $75 or so on a knife, that has the licensing company's (Ruger) logo on it, why would I even consider one where the logo would be certain to be covered over while in the sheath.
See it here.
It is on sale at a good price but I am right handed as are most folks. Thus, I usually wear a sheath on my right side. It's manufactured by CRKT under license from Sturm, Ruger & Co. Inc.. Why would Ruger have CRKT place the logo on the left side of the handle where it would face in toward my body and not out so others could see it when in the sheath? Like I said, just nitpicking but that did get me going a bit.
Anyway, it has a nice price and it otherwise seems to be a nice knife despite the location of the logo. I might have considered purchasing one had I not already bought just about everything for Christmas that I am buying anyone (and definitely already got gifts for anyone in my family who would have appreciated that knife as a gift).
All the best,
