Roaches Are Easy To Kill But It's Hard To Erradicate All of Them...

 ...since they hide in the cracks and breed like - well like roaches when hiding. Of course, they do come out once the lights are turned off. Just like roaches, those in the Taliban are easy to kill but as a group they are hard to extirpate. They too hide in the cracks, so to speak, then again almost literally inside cracks in the mountainsides. Roaches destroy good things by eating our food and defecating on our food products and elsewhere in our homes; they also spread diseases. The Taliban breed like roaches and spread their diseased creed like roaches spread their droppings - over everything they encounter. 

 

Once the lights went out, so to speak, in Afghanistan when U.S. troops were removed from that country, the scum of the earth, the Taliban crawled out of the cracks and began what is almost certain to become another reign of terror. If it was just in that country alone, I might say screw it - why be concerned - but how could I or you wish that evil on anyone without being almost as bad as are they! Even if you think that way and say screw the collateral damage, it probably is too late for that now that they are taking control again.

 

Now that the lights are out, they assuredly will not confine their terror to within the borders of a single nation. They will be coming our way once again, when we are sleeping once again, and you can bet their attack (with or without help from other groups like Al-Qaeda) will again be devastating once again. The mistake was not to destroy as many of them as was possible when we had the chance - when we were on the ground in what is fast again becoming their country. I do not blame this on Biden even though he is the one who brought it to the final point of allowing them to regroup and expand. Trump would have done the same as most probably would have done any other president in short order in the current mess we call the world. I blame it on a general distaste for doing what needed to be done to get the task accomplished and that I think would have been to annihilate as many of them as possible with extreme prejudice. I feel no mercy for said group and judging them by what they have done before and now have done already, since U.S. troops left the country, just goes to show what terrorizing savages are they and that they deserve the fate I think they deserve; anyway that is my opinion. If We Nuked Yemen Would Iran Behave Itself?

My guess is that nuking Yemen would not be a tactical mistake if some country decided to nuke that country in response the recent drone attacks on Saudi Oil Fields. Houthi forces, established and working out of Yemen, have claimed responsibility for the attacks which have resulted in Saudi Arabia shutting down 1/2 of its oil production! More at the source.

Losing 1/2 of the oil produced by Saudi Arabia is going to have widely resounding consequences around the world, especially if it lasts any prolonged amount of time. Being that the Iranian backed Houthis have promised more attacks, my guess is the results will be long lasting. One way to put an end to it all would be a swift and devastating attack on the Houthi strongholds within Yemen  - maybe with tactical nuclear weapons. Not many would mourn the loss of the Houthis and any collateral damage will only make for political ammo because in truth there are not many in the world who even have a clue where Yemen is located let alone give a damn about its people. All that is even more likely true especially when the world's oil supply is at risk.

Mind you, lesser things have started world wars. I do not mean a nuclear attack on Yemen when I say that. I do mean a shortage of resources such as is going to be caused by the loss of oil in what would otherwise have been available had the Iranian backed Houthis not attacked the Saudi oil fields. It may also cause a worldwide economic collapses which almost certainly would have the planet on the brink of another world war. 

My guess is that a country thinking strategically, tactically and diplomatically could come to an agreement with other nations around the world that would result in a unanimous decision to destroy the Houthis with overwhelming force. Truthfully, I believe almost no one would give a damn about the destruction of this terrorist group once and for all other than to ultimately agree it was the right decision (expected oil prices of as high as $100 per barrel and the resultant price increases in everything from butter to arse wipes, if this goes long term, will help that decision to look very good). My guess also is also that Iran will have learned a valuable lesson. If not they could be targeted next and that is exactly why I'd be willing to bet they would learn the intended lesson. They almost certainly would, as a result of such an attack, drastically better their behavior on the world stage. 

Iran claims they were not behind this attack (source) but that claim is extremely doubtful as the Houthis long have been supported by Iran regarding their terrorist activities. Regardless, the Houthis have already claimed responsibility and maybe they well deserve whatever comes there way - be it the wrath of God in the form of plague and pestilence or the wrath of Man in the form of utter nuclear destruction.

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio...

...should be expunged from office and given a proverbial horse whipping and then ridden out of town on a rail while thoroughly tarred and feathered and that is probably too easy a punishment for him. As it stands now, and there will be no changing my mind on this even if he changes his mind, he is completely supporting Oscar López Rivera, someone I believe terrorist who conspired against the United States. Mayor de Blasio plans to march in his honor in the Puerto Rican Day Parade next month, that parade is set to honor him as a freedom fighter. I think that any politician who honors a piece of shit like that should be forced out of office and never be allowed to run again because if you keep them in office long enough, they will be emulating the likes of Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot and Obama (who commuted the sentence of Lopez Rivera in the first place).

Two Suspects Arrested & Identified In Canadian Mosque Shooting

At least one of the shooters in the Canadian mosque shooting has a Muslim sounding name, the other a Canadian sounding name.  My guess is that they are both Muslims but that is just a guess right now even though they, or at least one of them, were/was reported to be shouting "Allahu Akbar" while shooting and at least one of them was of Moroccan origin. At first, it seemed to me that the media reports tried to steer folks to the belief that the attack was perpetrated by Canadians who were anti-Muslim extremists in as much as they reported that witnesses said the shooters had Quebecois (A French speaking native of Quebec) accents. They 
then went on to talk about how witnesses were concerned about a pig's head having been left at a Mosque not all that long ago, seemingly as if one had led to the other. The reports even quoted the mosque's president as having said this about the pig's head: ""We were told that it was an isolated act, but today we have deaths," Yangui told reporters." I also am guessing that the idea that the culprits were anti-Muslim extremists did not hold pig's blood but again that is just my guess, I am sure more info will be divulged as to their identities. More here.

Soon though, no matter who were the killers, I am pretty sure someone down here in the USA will be blaming this on President Trump and his immigration policies. Just imagine how relieved George W. Bush must be since it appears that President Trump has finally taken the heat off of him.

Remembering 9/11 In A Personal Way



How can we as a nation ever forget or forgive the attacks of September 11, 2001!

 A coworker and I, accompanied by recue workers, climbed over
 the debris pile to access a customs vault to secure evidence on
the Friday night after the attacks. It was scary to say the least.

 I did not take any of the above photos. I got the WTC photos I have here and there on the Internet and from coworkers who either took some or found them online. I was a Special Agent with Customs at the time and as luck had it, I was in CT for some training on the day itself. I went to the site over the course of part of two days to help with rescue and recovery efforts; that was a few days after the attacks. Anyway, these pics have personal meaning for me so I saved them. Figured I would share them again.

Besides looking at those pictures this morning, I also took a look at what amounted to my insurance claim after the attacks. I had been assigned to 6 WTC since around June of 2001 and also had been assigned full time duties as a firearms instructor. It was Paradise but did not last long. Anyway, I have a Word file saved in the same folder as the photos. It is amazing how many things came to mind when I looked over the personal items I lost (some like a few of my pistols being recovered and returned to me later). Memories of work assignments, of details to other offices like a trip to Arizona and another to Haiti and just a reminder of how long I have been taking my current high blood pressure medicine were all brought back by reading through the list of items I lost. It is hard to believe it has been 15 years since then as those memories while a bit faded by time are still pretty strong.

Of course, the photos, my insurance claim and my memories only show a very small bit of the big picture. The towers burning, crumbling to dust, the thousands killed or wounded, the folks leaping to their certain deaths from high stories in desperate attempts to flee the flames, the heroes who gave some and those who gave all trying to save others by running into the towers to help, the thousands fleeing down the streets as the towers collapsed, the regular folks (non-emergency workers) who volunteered and flocked to the site to help in anyway they could, the nation coming together unified in cause even if only briefly, that is the real story of 9/11.

I think: That we have cowered under the regimes of two feckless presidents since then who have not retaliated with all of our nation's might (although one tried much harder than the other in seeking to destroy our enemies) against each and every country that played a part in planning, carrying out or facilitating these attacks; that we consider some of those countries as allies; that we did not execute each and every terrorist at Guantanamo; those are all the shame of it. That we released prisoners who subsequently again plotted or actually took part in  later attacks against our troops or involved themselves again in terrorism against other nations, and that we have allowed Islamic Terrorists to form groups such as ISIS and thus to continue a reign of terror is the disgrace of it. That some in our country actually believed and still believe that our own government had some sort of conspiratorial hand in the attacks is the insanity of it.

I truly believe, we should never forget and never forgive. I believe we should do all we can do to protect our nation and her people and that means we need to fight terrorism without reservation and destroy terrorists either until they all have breathed their last breaths or we have breathed ours. We should always remember and honor our fallen, we should stand unified as a nation in avenging them and most of all, it should be personal for all of us!

Why Do Female Islamic Terrorists Surprise Anyone?

I think I have said it recently before today but I will say it again, I am amazed that anyone is surprised when a female commits and act or acts of islamic terrorism (fuck no I will not capitalize islamic when referring to islamic terrorism). Women have been known to be taking active roles in ilamic terrorism for years now; yet, when we witness something like the recent terrorist attacks in Burbank - way to many of us seem shocked that a woman played a part in the carnage. It happens time and time again and we need to wake up to that fact. There are indications of it all around us, here is one of the latest.

We also need to wake up to the facts that terrorists are already here in the USA, they have been here for many years awaiting the right time when their numbers are high enough to stage more attacks. In addition, we need to slap ourselves in our faces and wake up to the realization that we need to sharply curtail if not outright stop the influx of Muslims into this country who would harm us. The easiest way to do that would be to stop all Muslim immigration, another way would be to give them all lie detector tests (although it would not be as sure a method as stopping all immigration). If moderate Muslims decide that means we are at war with islam, then so be it - islamists are the ones who started it and who continue it no matter what. History is my witness as to that last statement.

If They Attempt To Charge This Naval Commander...

...with any crimes at all, or with any violations that would force him out of the military, or make him accept anything other than an honorable discharge, or demote or otherwise punish him, the patriots of this country should band together and march on Washington, DC in protest.

The Navy Times has reported that not only one Marine was armed when the crazed radical Islamist attacked the Navy support center recently but that a Naval Officer engaged the terrorist. It has been reported that Lt. Cmdr. Timothy White, in charge of the Naval support center, engaged the filthy pig before he even opened fire as he approached the center with his weapon out. For a more detailed account, at least compared to other reports I have seen to date, go here to the Navy Times article.  It is difficult to understand why it has taken so long for this to all come out and then not on the front pages of every newspaper and on the homepages of every online news outlet of the mud slinging media main stream media but in a military newspaper.

If anything, the Lt. Cmdr. should receive a medal for his bravery and at most receive a verbal reprimand in his file for having a pistol in violation of the rules. The military is now wondering why he was so armed. It is obvious to me why he had it, isn't it to you. He did the right thing and maybe helped save some lives in doing so by allowing others to escape as he engaged with the dirty dog who apparently had hoped his martyrdom would allow him into heaven despite his prior sins. Yes folks, in my mind that undeniably means the shooting was motivated by Islam.

And folks, there is a chance that it was either the police or the armed Marine or the armed Navy Lt. Cmdr. who took out the bad guy (or maybe two of them or even all three). It is still being investigated as to who it was that shot and killed him.

Four Dead Marines - Can I Just Say I Am Disgusted...

...over today's terrorist attack on our military and LE here at home (source). No I cannot limit myself to saying only that.

Not only four dead marines but a critically wounded (shot) member of the Navy and a police officer also shot (heard that about the wounded on Fox News on the television). It was allegedly committed by a U.S. citizen who was shot down like the dirty dog he was by police. The alleged terrorist dog (yes I added the dog part) reportedly naturalized after immigrating here from a Kuwait (and for the ignorant that is a Muslim nation). So it has been reported thus far. And yet they, as in some government officials, are calling it domestic terrorism! They have got to be kidding. It is the next to last day of Ramadan - so you can bet this was inspired by Islam and especially by the Islamic pigs of ISIS.

How the politicians and military brass have disarmed our military is unfathomable. We are at war people - with a group that wants to annihilate us - whether or not we all want to believe it. They sure believe it and they have been waging war against us at every opportunity. If today does not wake people up to the fact that we are at war with Islam or at least with a huge portion of it, then so be it. When the next jihadi coward commits yet another surprise attack, let they who insist on sleeping die in their sleep. As for me, I am on alert and prepared to defend me and my loved ones and to help defend America in the event that an act of terrorism takes place in my presence and I am able to do anything to help stop it.

If you are not arming yourselves and preparing likewise, I believe you to be fools. I think though that most of the folks who read this blog are already at least somewhat prepared. I hope so.

Should I Call Him The Assistant Dean of ISIS Support...

...or should I just call him a treasonous leftist piece of shaite! Can this seemingly arrogant and pompous piece of trash at Cornell University truly be that anti-American as to say, in essence, that a major U.S. university would fully support programs to support ISIS and would allow ISIS to train students on campus? It appears so, at least if the below video is on the level.

He could not possibly be an assistant dean, at an ivy league college (is Cornell now considered ivy league), and be so ignorant as not know to what the person, to whom he is talking, is referring when he repeatedly mentions the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria - can he???  Then to say that it would be permissible at Cornell, to allow a freedom fighter from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria to start a training camp for students on the campus and that students at Cornell routinely assist ISIS is beyond belief, at least in my mind. 

How this guy is still working at Cornell and not under arrest for conspiring to give aid and comfort to our enemy is beyond my understanding. But lest I sway you to my mindset on this, why not watch the video and make up your own mind. Just make sure to watch it all because if you just watch the first part you may wind up thinking he was never told the organization being talked about was in fact ISIS.

Has The Pope Yielded To Islamic Terrorists?

So the Pope has come on the record to say that Freedom of Religion overrides Freedom of Speech. In sum and substance, he said that it is not permissible for someone to disrespect anyone's religion through their expression of free speech (source). So tell me: If I asked the current Pope whether or not he thought Islam to be the one true religion, and whether or not Mohammad's teachings were absolutely correct and were the words of Allah (God), and also asked if Allah was the one true and absolutely the only God - and finally - if I asked the Pope if he would denounce Jesus  - would he respond with an absolute and infallible yes to all of those questions? It seems, he must do so because for him to do otherwise would be seen, by many Muslims, as disrespecting and ridiculing Islam or worse still as blasphemy in their eyes. Islamists have beheaded and put to the sword untold numbers of people for less than that. Would the Pope not then, by answering any of those questions in the negative, be guilty of doing exactly what he says others should not do! Since he has preached that it is not right or permissible for others to do so, and since I am certain he is a man of his word who would never lie to his flock (aren't all Catholics just as certain as am I), I have arrived at the conclusion that he must have recently and secretly converted to Islam. Otherwise, without any doubt in my mind, he is just another bull-shitter of the politically correct (PC) ilk or should that be religiously correct (RC) type. (Hmm, maybe RC has not stood for Roman Catholicism over all these centuries but instead has meant religiously correct, it would explain a lot!)

I do not believe for one minute that the Pope is infallible or incapable of lying or that he truly is a man of faith more than anyone else. Based upon his cowering statements, I do believe, despite denials by the Catholic Church, that threats have probably been made against him or Catholic targets by Islamic terrorists. I also believe that he has yielded to those threats and is condescending to the level of other appeasers of terrorism who do or say nothing - or worse yet to the level of those who actually bend over backwards to defend or justify the actions of religious terrorists. He, in my opinion, has justified the recent Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack. You see, no matter how much he says he is anti-violence, he still winds up using an example in which violence is the result of ridicule and then explains that it (the violent response) is normal and implies that is true in the case of religious ridicule. So in other words, he has in fact - as far as I can see, yielded to they who wield murderous violence in the name of Islam (or for that matter in the name of any religion).

Of course, maybe I am wrong and no such threats were made that caused the Pope to yield to Islamic terrorism but if that is the case then the Pope evidently is simply hedging his bets by way of a lightly veiled justification of the Charlie Hebdo murders. Make no mistake about it, with that punch in the nose example he gave, supported by him saying  "It's normal. You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others." that is exactly what he was doing - supporting the terrorist attacks on Charlie Hebdo. As far as I am concerned that makes the Pope, at least this particular pope, no better than the anti-Christ.

Once Again A Terrorist Act But There Is No Link To Terrorism...

...or so say government officials in the case of Alton Nolen.  Earlier

"Friday, U.S. law enforcement officials said there were no indication the attack was linked to terrorism."

,The attack they are talking about was allegedly committed  y Alton Nolen, a Vaughn Food processing plant employee, who was terminated by the company. He is alleged to have returned there, just after being fired and to have rammed a vehicle with his own as he returned. Then he allegedly got out of his car and stabbed and beheaded the first employee he saw; she was reported to be Colleen Hufford (my condolences to her family, friends and loved ones). He allegedly also stabbed a second employee. (source)

Now on the face of it, this may not sound like it is related to terrorism but there is more. Mr. Nolen reportedly recently had tried to convert some of his coworkers to Islam (source)! There you have it, a connection to terrorism that apparently somehow has eluded detection by law enforcement. While the connection may be a thread and only tenuous at that, allow me to point out that Islam and its followers are known to promote conversions of all infidels (non-believers) to Islam, and also to promote the executions of they who refuse to convert, and also have carried out the beheadings of such people, and that the beheadings seem mostly to be carried out by Islamic extremists or in other words by Islamic terrorists. In addition, there have been recent calls from ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) for lone wolf type terrorists to begin striking within the United States and these calls have been made by a group already notorious for its cowardly beheadings of several Western individuals and probably for the beheadings of at least hundreds of other Muslims from opposing sects. Yes, there is a link to terrorism and there is a link to Islam - the so called religion of terrorism peace and the government had better opens its eyes to it before the shit hits the fan and it is too late to prevent the bloodbath that may follow.

Edited to add: How could I have missed the best part. The assailant was shot, wounded and stopped while attacking his second victim. The shooter was Vaughn Food's operations manager who also just so happened to be a reserve county deputy (source). What mattered is that someone in the workplace was armed with a pistol and was able to prevent the suspect from killing more people. I guess Vaughn Foods was a firearms friendly workplace but if they were not maybe they will now reconsider and become one!

Also one other note to add, the FBI is now investigating to see if there is a link to terrorism. Why bother when they already know they are going to say there was not - that even though the link is obvious because this was a terroristic act carried out by way of the preferred method of cowardly Islamic terrorists and it was by a Muslim who had just tried to convert his coworkers to Islam.

His Captor Was A Frenchman...

...as much as the guy in the following picture was in reality a Frenchman:

This guy is probably more of a real Frenchman
than any Muslim currently living in France.

So, it is being reported that: "A French journalist supposedly a captive of Muslim Extremists, for several months in Syria, but who was freed last April reportedly has identified one of his captors as a Frenchman - Mehdi Nemmouche. He is also a suspect in the murders of four people at the Brussels Jewish Museum earlier this year. Right now, Nemmouche is in custody for those killings, which took place in May, after the journalist's release (source).

Note that even though held captive for months, the journalist reportedly was quoted as saying the man who held him captive and tortured him was a Frenchman. The media readily reports the suspect as such without even one tiny hint of a mention, in the linked article, that the guy is a Muslim who is an Islamist extremist or that he is a terrorist or at least a suspected terrorist.

Whom are they trying to appease by hiding that? Is it President Obama who runs along that same line. Is it the terrorists themselves. Or, is it the real French People, those whose ancestors have lived in France for millennia and who really are Frenchmen or Frenchwomen. Just because someone is born in France does not a Frenchman make him, even if French citizenship is bestowed upon someone born within the borders of France. What that makes them a is a citizen and nothing more. That a French citizen is not necessarily a Frenchman should be obvious from the loyalties and actions of those like the 'French' Muslim who allegedly kidnapped, kept captive and tortured the journalist. 

So, if it is the French people that the media is trying to appease, how would it appease them by telling them that the terrorist is a Frenchman. Well, it is a way to keep the true French from joining in mass and coming down on France's Muslim population like a cleansing tidal wave full of fury and violence. If you call the responsible people what they truly are - Muslims and terrorists, then the French might realize they are a separate group within France that does not have any French interests at heart and the French may retaliate in mass. However, if you call them Frenchmen, then the French may well hold off waiting for the authorities to handle them as they would other Frenchmen because one usually feels some sort of solidarity for their own, even if their own has committed a heinous act. The thing is, Islamic Extremists should not be handled like every other Frenchman because they are not Frenchmen. They have made that obvious in France with their racism geared toward the true French, their self chose path of segregation from the French, their insistence on their own laws over the laws of France and by repeated acts of violence against the French. Sooner or later the French will realize they have had the French flag pulled over their eyes  by the Muslims, the leftists and the politicians they have manipulated. Once they pull it away and open their eyes again, the Muslim population in France will be in imminent and mortal peril unless it radically changes its tune. Of course, if the French don't pull that flag away soon, they are doomed to become subservient Islam. They are on the edge and what they do in the relatively near future will tell.

6 Killed, 1,000 Wounded In World Trade Center Attack

A local news radio station reports via their website at http://www.1010wins.com/NYC-Marks-Anniversary-of-1993-WTC-Bombing/3923532 on the devastation at the World Trade Center after the bombing. With politicians having their heads up their asses in the clouds, an attack for which we were totally unprepared took place on the World Trade center today in 1993 and resulted in 6 people being killed and about 1,000 being wounded. I have to wonder, why this anniversary is not prominently being reported on, if reported on at all, at Fox News, CNN, MSNBC. I cannot find it on their home pages). Has 16 years, since that 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center been so long that the rest of America, other than NYC, has all but forgotten about it? Only 8 years was enough for us to have forgotten about it the first time around and to become totally lax. The result of our laxness in that short time span of only 8 years was another attack on our soil. The short time of 8 years was what it took foreign terrorists between the bombing on February 26, 1993 until 9/11/2001 when they undertook another much more heinous attack on our soil. Yet somehow, just 8 years after 9/11, we again sit smugly and comfortably in our homes. We allow our borders to remain open as if the dam had burst. We moan and groan that we are in a financial mess of our own making. We worry that there may not be a lot of value left in our homes. Yet we allow politicians to spend as if there is no tomorrow on bailout after bailout and stimuli unfettered in what amounts to the biggest ripoff of the taxpayer ever; all when that money could be better spent protecting us from what is coming that will be worse than losing millions of dollars, but the politicians have us hoodwinked into believing that this is what we must do to remain strong. What we need to do is work at that while never forgetting the other threat that hangs over our heads, but apparently our leadership - even in the department of Homeland Security pretty much has relegated that threat to the back burner. Just watch or read the recent news on the speech given by The Secretary for Homeland Security. It covered home defense from storms, from financial woes, from earthquakes, but very little of it was about terrorism. How is it that we have such short memories, how is it our leaders have especially short memories? Our enemies don't have short memories, they are attacking us for things that took place as long ago as centuries past! They hate us, they see us as something to be destroyed so they can reign supreme.

Stay alert, remember the WTC attacks, remember the Pentagon, remember a field in PA, remember all those attacks abroad, and bear in mind they are coming here within our borders to attack us again. Mark my words on it, it is a surety against which I fear we are ill prepared.

Happy Thanksgiving To All

May it be a peaceful day here in the USA. I wish I could say the same for the rest of the world, but India is having one hell of a troubling time right now. Damn these piece of shit evil terrorists who prey on the weak, the unsuspecting, the innocent. While we are at damning them we really ought to think about killing all of em too, and then ought to get serious about it. Maybe that is not a very Thanksgiving like thought or so you may think; but I would be darned thankful to wake up to find out every last one of them was wiped out while I slept.

Bush's Vietnam - Senator Kennedy Wrong Again

Wasn't it Senator Ted Kennedy who a couple or few years back said something to the effect that Iraq is President George W. Bush's Vietnam? I am pretty sure it was him, and as the facts will show, it seems pretty certain that he was wrong once again.


The Vietnam War took place between 1959 and 1975. For all practical aspects the US involvement in that war took place within those years, but mostly after 1963. In all that time there were the following U.S. casualties (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vietnam_War_casualties):


58,217 killed


153,452 wounded


1,947 missing in action


On average there were over 3,638 U.S. dead per year during the Vietnam Conflict. No that was not really how it worked out, there were much, MUCH, higher casualties in some years than in others, but that is the average over a 16 year conflict.

We have, as of today, been at war in Iraq for a total of five years. There have been less than 4,000 U.S. casualties resulting in death in that conflict. As per Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_war_casualties) there were also: "8,904 wounded requiring medical air transport. 20,416 wounded did not require medical air transport. Of all the wounded 13,109 were unable to return to duty within 72 hours." As for American deaths in Iraq that is an average of 800 lives lost per year of conflict in Iraq as compared to the average of over 3,638 in Vietnam! The war in Iraq could go on for 11 more years, and if the same casualty rate occurred, it would make the total U.S. deaths in Iraq be about 9,600, which would be nowhere nearly as high as the casualties suffered by the U.S. in Vietnam. So I am wondering how is it that the Iraq Conflict is George W. Bush's Vietnam. There is virtually no comparison in the context in which Kennedy made his claim.


By comparison to Vietnam, the war in Iraq is a classic example of how to fight a war and win with less casualties, and Vietnam is a classic example of how to and stuff a nation's military men into a meat grinder while considering them little more than expendable blobs of flesh.


No war is good, but there are certainly many good causes over which to go to war. We saw such a good reason in WWII. We saw another in Grenada. We saw another in Iraq the first time around. We thought we saw such a good reason in Iraq the second time too. It may be a fact that George W. Bush, the Senate, the House of Representatives, the CIA, Military Intelligence, and their counterparts in many of the nations who are our allies, were all bamboozled by Saddam Hussein into believing he had weapons of mass destruction; and therefore that we went to war in Iraq after having reached wrong conclusions about whether or not we should wage war. Yet there is a good reason/cause for which to remain at war in Iraq.


It is a fact that the Iraq Conflict has been, and remains, a magnet for Islamo Fascists and other terrorists. Many leftists try to get you to believe that this is a bad thing. I think they have missed the importance of this flocking of terrorists. They migrate there in large numbers to attack our forces, and our military men and woman (not boys and girls though many of them left home as little more than that), and while I do not want to see our military people lost in a lost cause, this is no lost cause as some democrats would have you believe. That terrorists congregate in Iraq in large numbers is all the reason necessary to stay there and fight the fight, to wage war on Global Terrorism, and try to wipe the terrorists out as best we can. At the same we are trying to restore some hope for the Iraqi people much as we are doing in Afghanistan. In doing so, I wish we could go at them harder than we are doing, to defeat them quicker, but maybe it is better to do it at a slower pace with some good thought put into how to accomplish our goals. You see, while we are fighting them there, we are defeating them there away from home, that is good. It is time consuming but by taking our time we are assuring protection of the lives of innocent Iraqis, and we are making sure that our own losses are kept to a minimum.


George W. Bush has not been wrong about how he has been doing this. The supporters of JFK and LBJ (almost all democrats) never thought Vietnam was too long until hundreds of thousands of U.S. citizens protested. We don't see those protests today, and we likely will not see protests like that today - not even in our instant gratification gotta have it now world of cell phones, the Internet, microwave ovens, and 400 channels on cable television. Why not! Why will we not see protests like that. Well, because even some of the most left leaning wackadoos realize that Bush has it right. He is keeping most of the terrorism, and virtually all of the battles against terrorists, where they belong - on the shores of countries that breed terrorists. Because Bush has been, and is, doing it right our casualties have been kept as low as possible in such a large scale conflict.


So Senator Ted Kennedy - go have another shot of whisky, then go for a long drive off of a short pier (no passengers this time please) what sensible, logical, well thought out, and productive reply do you have to the facts as I just presented them? More blubbering and blathering I suppose, after all, isn't that all we ever hear from you!

For the rest of you out there, our casualties in Iraq are nothing to minimize, they are something to take to heart. Therefore I ask that each of you, who remain at home, do the right thing and show true support for our military personnel. You have read the title; now take a moment and read these 2 definitions:

1. supporter of anarchism: somebody who believes that governments should be abolished as unnecessary
2. lawless person: somebody who tries to overthrow a government or behaves in a lawless way


Okay, you have seen the title of this particular post. You have read the two definitions above. Now go to Vegas police find deadly ricin in motel room if you want a clue as to all of this, and to see where I found the quote in the above title. You can also go to Police: Firearms, 'Anarchist Textbook' Found in Ricin Hotel Room" to read more about it. After you read those two articles, about a man in the hospital apparently suffering from Ricin poisoning, riddle me this Batman:

1. Is there any possible link to terrorist activity?

2. Should the man who is in the hospital be a suspect, at least a preliminary suspect, in this case in that he should be suspected of possessing Ricin? Note I am not saying he is guilty, I am asking should he be suspected of such, even if the suspicion is tentative and will depend in the long run on further information being developed to keep him as a suspect?

If the police truly believe that there is no, and I mean absolutely no link to possible terrorist activity here, I think they are screwballs, and should literally be demoted or fired. Here read the quote to which I refer:

“There is no information to lead us to believe that this is the result of any terrorist activity or related to any possible terrorist activity,”

What do they mean by that? Are they idiots or are they just trying to keep people from panicking? My guess is they are well trained idiots acting at the behest of higher authority; but I could be wrong, and it is possible they are just idiots of the plain and simple type. Why? Well because:

1. Ricin is an extremely toxic chemical agent with few legitimate uses except in cancer research.

2.Certainly there was absolutely no legitimate cancer research going on, and no legitimate use use for it, in a skid row welfare type motel 6 blocks from the Vegas strip.

3. An "anarchist type textbook" (from the MSN article) was found in the motel room when authorities searched the room. The book is tabbed at a certain page, that page containing information about how to make buttery pop cornRicin.

4. Firearms were found in that room (no not even indicative of a crime on their own, but they can add to suspicion of criminal activity when certain other things fall into place).

5. A man has been hospitalized with symptoms of Ricin poisoning, the same man who had been staying in the room where the above items were found.

6. Authorities seized the "anarchist type textbook" and the firearms, but the vials of Ricin in the plastic bag were not discovered when the book and guns were found. This sort of implies that the police searched the room when or once the 2 seized items were found, or that they certainly should have searched the room if those items had been discovered by someone other than LEOs.

7. Authorities seize the book and weapons.

8. A friend of the hospitalized man, went to the motel room in question, to pick up the belongings of the hospitalized man, and this friend reportedly finds the vials of Ricin in a plastic bag in said room.

9. The first man has been in the hospital since February 14.

10. The weapons and the guns were found on or about Tuesday February February 19.

11. The vials were only found on or about Thursday, February 21.

12. On February 22 the friend, who went to the hospitalized man's room to pick up his belongings, contacted motel management to inform them there were pets in said room.

13. "A dog was found dead but the animal had gone at least a week without food or water, Suey said" This quote from the FoxNews article. I imagine that dog (unlucky 13) was found dead by authorities or by the motel management on the 22 or later, and am basing my conclusion on number 12 above. (Where were the police in regard to this earlier?)

14. "Along with the ricin, police found castor beans possibly used to make the substance. Suey said the manufacture of ricin is a crime." Again from FoxNews.

15. We don't know an awful lot about him," Suey said. "We don't even know that it was him that was in possession of the ricin" That would be Deputy Chief of Police Kathy Suey to whom that quote was attributed in the FoxNews article.

16. Suey apparently made her statements yesterday.

I ask you again to consider:

1. Is there any possible link to terrorist activity?

2. Should the man who is in the hospital be a suspect, at least a preliminary suspect, in this case in that he should be suspected of possessing Ricin? Note I am not saying he is guilty, I am asking should he be suspected of such, even if the suspicion is tentative and will depend in the long run on further information being developed to keep him as a suspect?

If you are uncertain, or if you answered "No" to either of those 2 questions, you are far from correct as I see it.

There is a POSSIBLE link to, or suspicion of, terrorist activity. This would be based upon the evidence that manufacture of Ricin is a crime, a man has been hospitalized with apparent Ricin poisoning (either intentionally or accidentally poisoned it does not matter), the Ricin apparently was kept under unsafe conditions in a motel room, in that same motel room were firearms (not by themselves an indicator of crime by a long shot mind you), and in that room was found an "anarchist type textbook". Ricin is most often associated with terrorists when not used legitimately. By now, even by yesterday, it is/was probably very apparent to the Las Vegas Police brass, and others involved in this case, that the Ricin in said room was not there for legitimate purposes.

Let's examine a for just a moment now the other legitimate uses of Ricin beyond cancer research. Hmm, zero! So with no legitimate uses of Ricin save cancer research, what nefarious uses of Ricin are there? It has been used to kill people in political assassinations carried out by terrorists. In fact an extremely small amount of Ricin, in its purest forms, is required to kill someone. But let me not bore you with what I know about the subject, let me give you just a smidgen of what the CDC says about it here:


"It would take a deliberate act to make ricin and use it to poison people. Accidental exposure to ricin is highly unlikely.

People can breathe in ricin mist or powder and be poisoned.

Ricin can also get into water or food and then be swallowed.

Pellets of ricin, or ricin dissolved in a liquid, can be injected into people’s bodies.

Depending on the route of exposure (such as injection or inhalation), as little as 500 micrograms of ricin could be enough to kill an adult. A 500-microgram dose of ricin would be about the size of the head of a pin. A greater amount would likely be needed to kill people if the ricin were swallowed.

In 1978, Georgi Markov, a Bulgarian writer and journalist who was living in London, died after he was attacked by a man with an umbrella. The umbrella had been rigged to inject a poison ricin pellet under Markov’s skin.

Some reports have indicated that ricin may have been used in the Iran-Iraq war during the 1980s and that quantities of ricin were found in Al Qaeda caves in Afghanistan.

Ricin poisoning is not contagious. It cannot be spread from person to person through casual contact. "

Are you getting the picture? Ricin is a deadly chemical, extremely deadly, and it is often associated with terrorists and terrorism. There are few legitimate uses of it, all centering around cancer research. This Ricin was not found in a cancer research facility, and in fact was found with a bag of Castor beans (the source from which Ricin can be manufactured, and it is very unlikely that a cancer researcher would leave either lying around his motel room). Do I watch too much television, or do I just have too much experience with criminals, when I think that Ricin in a motel room would be highly suspicious of wrongdoing, and its former links to terrorists in combination with firearms and an "anarchist's type textbook" add up to a suspicion of terrorist activity? Look to the link to the CDC web page about Ricin. At least glance over it, read each section's header. Look at the size of each section on the article the CDC wrote about Ricin. Which is the largest section? Yes the one about how to protect yourself from Ricin as if a terrorist attack had taken place. Remember, as seen above, they said it would take a deliberate act to spread enough to harm people. Any suspicions yet?

How can the police NOT BE at least SUSPICIOUS that this was in some POSSIBLE way linked to terrorism? How can the police not believe that the man who was poisoned is at least a suspect in this case? I said a suspect, nothing more, and I mean nothing less such as the bullshit political butt kissing term of: 'person of interest'. If they are not in the least suspicious that this is related to some for of terrorism, and that the hospitalized man is not at least a suspect then I, in my personal opinion, believe the LEOs involved in this case to be out and out idiots absolutely incompetent.

Of course as I mentioned above, they could be well trained idiots and be withholding their suspicions so as not to panic people, but who would get panicked over this who would not already be scared into seeking out a cave in which to hide after having read those articles and just a little more on the subject? There is no need to panic, but there is reason to be suspicious, and to be suspicious that there is a possible link to terrorism. There is reason to look into links to terrorism based upon those suspicions. If the police already firmly have made up there minds that there is no POSSIBLE link to terrorism and that the hospitalized man is suspected of nothing wrong - well their investigation is less than a good one - it stinks. Tell me, just what in Hades is it for which we pay their salaries?

As for you and me, it is good to be aware of such thing, and how to react and act after a suspected spread of Ricin (hint: a terrorist attack using Ricin). There are oodles and oodles of websites that give you such info, so I will not go into any such readiness preparations here; however I will recommend you start with the links on the CDC webpage that covers Ricin. Just suffice it to say, you should be prepared for terrorist attacks because in all likelihood they are coming. No this may well not have been one, and if it was supposed to have resulted in one chances are it maybe would have been small scale. Though we do not know the size of the "vials" vials are usually pretty small, so let's say a scale like a suicide bombing killing dozens of innocent people. Still though, a larger attack to come is probably almost a certainty. No not necessarily with Ricin, or other biological or chemical agents, it could be nuclear, it could be a regular bomb or IEDS, it could be gunshots, it could be a maniac mowing people down with a car. The thing is you should have some sort of a plan what to do if a terrorist attack occurs; and if anything happens that has even half the evidence that it is a terrorist attack as the example above, you should suspect it is just that - a terrorist attack - and you take appropriate action to protect yourself and your loved ones.

Now maybe I am just the overly suspicious type, but that's my slant on it all. Oh, before I leave you for now, did I forget to mention: Maybe the police ought to read up on the definitions of anarchist versus terrorist. Pretty darned similar are they not? No suspicions ineed!

An Islam I'd Like To See More Of...

...yes I would indeed! I almost fell over as I read this piece not because of its impact mind you, but rather because it took me by surprise since there are so few articles like it out there. Yes, I see your point, there are lot's of articles out there about how Islam needs reform, about how this religion, the so called religion of peace, must start to condemn the terrorists instead of coddling them, that Islam is the enemy, that Islam equates with terrorism to many throughout the world, that groups like CAIR are in essence full of hypocrites - but they are few and far between when they are written by Muslims as was this one. What a refreshing oddity was it to have seen a Muslim condemning the Islamo Fascists 00and other hardliner Muslims who hide advancement of their evil intentions, and of terrorism, behind a curtain of claims of Islamophobia. As per the author, he has been writing like this for 20 years or so, too bad he is not an Op-Ed writer on the staff of every newspaper in the USA. Here is a brief sample of his wisdom:

"Islamophobia could end when masses of Muslims demonstrate in the streets against videos displaying innocent people being beheaded with the same vigor we employ against airlines, Israel and cartoons of Muhammad. It might cease when Muslims unambiguously and publicly insist that Shariah law should have no binding legal status in free, democratic societies. "

If more Muslims, millions more Muslims, came out bravely and openly as has Dr. Tawfik amid, the world would be a much better place in which to live. The truth is though that far too few Muslims condemn Islamo Facists, and other Islamic terrorists. Too few Muslims find barbaric acts of terrorism such as stooning, beheading, suicide bombin as heinous enough to speak out against them. No it is not that Muslims are too scared to do so, but rather that they embrace these aspects of islam. If you think not then just look back to the riots that took place in Europe after a few pictures of Mohamad were published. There were literraly hundreds of thousands of Muslims protesting violently over cartoon caricatrures, and many injuries and deaths of those who were not Muslims because of the rioting and unrest created by Muslims. In my opinion, Muslims look for any excuse to spread Islam through violent means, and I mean most Muslims. Those who are not looking to do so are quite happy to be complacent as there fellow Muslims do so.

That is why an article like the one to which I linked, appearing every now and then, from the likes of a seemingly moderate Muslim like Dr. Hanmid, does little to satisfy me. Nor does it do much to convince me, that I should not fear Islam. I am stocking up on supplies, in the event an Islamic caused crisis begins here in the USA as many have already been caused in places like England, France, Denmark, The Netherlands, Iraq, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Australia and other places to name just a handful. I'll be ready to take action to defend myself, my family and my country - and that action will not be to bow down on a prayer rug while facing east. If that is Islamophobic, well so be it; but remember this: If millions of other Muslims were like Mr. Hamid there would be no to little reason to fear Islam - and that is just not reality at the current time.

Another email of merit:

Now and then, I receive emails from friends and co-workers as I guess all of us do. Some are funny, some are sexual in nature (guys will be guys), some are about current events, and so on. Today I received on about the events leading up to today, ever since 9/11. As the email points out the author of the email does not know who wrote the piece he shared with me. I don't know the author either, but I figured the author would probably not mind sharing her thoughts. Yes the author is supposedly a lady, and possibly from New Jersey; but whether it be a woman, a man, an Alaskan or New Jersyite does not matter. This was written by a practical person who cares about the good old USA. Here it is for you to read:

“Letter from one "Angry Woman" I don't know who wrote it but they should have signed it. Some powerful words. This woman should run for president. Written by a housewife from New Jersey and sounds like it! This is one ticked off lady.

"”Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001? Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania? Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet? Well, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia.

I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for chopping off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured: I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank: I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that this holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts: I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and-you guessed it-I don't care!! “”

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your E-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior! If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great Country! And may I add:

One last thought for the day: In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the Anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said: "A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in.. And how many want out."

Weekly Update - Soldiers' Holiday Package

I'll keep this fairly brief (for me), if only because most of my blog in the past week has been devoted to this effort.

To date I have received $425 toward the package fund, including my own $50 donation to the fund (excluding the cost I will pay out of my pocket for shipping and shipping materials). This money is from a total of only 15 donations (including my own). If you can or cannot afford it, think of our troops overseas who may possibly be wounded, killed, or just far from home either freezing their behinds off in a foxhole, or spending the holidays on an military base on foreign soil in a hostile land over the holidays. Am I trying to shame you into giving, nah no way, not my style. Am I trying to kick your butts into gear - you betcha. I am just trying to get you to remember these guys even if with only a dollar. By the way, one of the donations I received was from 2 young girls, sisters, who broke open their piggy bank to donate $9 and change, then their mom rounded it off to $10, and sent it to me via PayPal. Here is part of what the mom wrote to me:

"My daughters, age 6 & 7, are excited to donate the contents of their piggy banks, (9 dollars and 18 cents, which I am rounding up to 10 bucks) to this cause. "

These two girls and their mom did a really nice thing for our soldiers, my thanks to them. If they can do it, so can you, a buck probably will not even make you break your piggy bank. You do not need a PayPal account to donate, and PayPal does not charge you a fee to donate (they charge me the fee to accept payments, and I will cover those costs out of my pocket).

I also received 12 tactical flashlights, with extra lithium batteries, from STREAMLIGHT absolutely free of charge! Can you say THANK YOU STREAMLIGHT!!! Wow that was nice of them. I made a price inquiry and they sent free lights.

Today I went shopping for items for the package(s). I picked up: A 6 quart Crock-Pot (something these guys requested), Various seasonings and spices (they said they wanted to cook for themselves for a change, so I guess they can cook it slowly in the crock-pot while out on patrol), a package of Chap-Sticks, Zip Lock Freezer Bags (these have lots of applications in sandy environments), a box of chewing gum, hard candies, chocolates and other candies. I spent $150.87 today on the items mentioned above, the Crock-Pot was only about $40, but are spices ever expensive, and I got nice sized jars of them! Thank goodness for Costco (click on the receipt to enlarge).

Other items I plan to purchase are: at least one box of 25 good cigars, possibly 12 pairs of high quality wool socks (one pair per each person in the unit), 12 folding knives (I have the Buck Bantam 285 BLW model in mind), sharpening stones (12 - one for each guy in the unit), other snacks (something of a holiday nature), and whatever else I can think of with any funds left over.

I have decided to split this into 3 or 4 holiday packages - still all for the same unit. This will make the package less bulky, and in the event one of them gets delayed, lost or stolen, the others are likely to make it through. I will probably send some of the stuff before the end of this week, and hope to have everything shipped by December 10th or thereabouts.

I hope to remember to take pics of the contents of each package before I ship them, and to post the pics on this blog once the items ship.
