President Obama Rewrites History Of Ho Chi Minh

It has been 38 years since the end of the Vietnam War and 58 years since that war began. In all of my 57 plus years on this earth, I have never heard one person, not even the most liberal of leftists, ever once suggest that the ruthless murdering tyrant Ho Chi Minh had been inspired by the Declaration of Independence, The U.S. Constitution or Thomas Jefferson - that is until today. It has been reported that Obama recently said the following in reference to the murderous communist dictator Ho Chi Minh:

“...we discussed the fact that Ho Chi Minh was actually inspired by the U.S. Declaration of Independence and Constitution, and the words of Thomas Jefferson.” (Source)

It has now become obvious to me that the man is either a communist supporter (at the very least), a full fledged communist or a raving lunatic - or all three. Either that or he is about the most poorly informed student of history ever to have lived. The next thing you know is that he will be saying that Stalin and Hitler were inspired by those same documents and by our Founding Fathers and the moral principles by which they lived. How he can be that ignorant of the truth or how he can be so blatant as to knowingly alter the truth with such a fabrication about Ho is beyond belief. What an insult to every patriotic American, more so to every American who ever served in our armed forces and especially so to they who served in Vietnam.

All the best,

Glenn B

For some interesting background on this issue, see:

It seems Ho Chi Minh really did cite George Washington and the US Declaration of Independence as inspirations - but whether or not he meant it is unclear.

What Ho Chi minh cited, what he said, what he praised - compare that to what he actually did when he slaughtered a half a million people in the name of communism. That is not taking inspiration from our Declaration, our Constitution nor one of our founding fathers unless it was inspiration by which he decided how best he could act in opposition to freedom and the rights of mankind.

Peter,

What I am trying to say, so there is no mistake, was that Ho Chi Minh praised the USA, its Declaration of Independence and found fathers only to sucker us in to supporting him much in the same manner as did Osama Bin laden who was all pro-America and apple pie when the Russians occupied Afghanistan. Then look at what he did on 9/11. They were two birds of a feather, manipulative opportunists, terrorists, tyrants, and murderers who hated the USA and all upon which our nation is based.

Actions speak louder than words, and had Ho been truly inspired by our Declaration of Independence or our Constitution he would have given power to the people and not to himself while destroying the people by way of that so called inspiration. Only a decadent tyrant like Obama would try to pass off what Ho said as being the truth even when it is obvious that his actions showed otherwise.
All the best,
