...of these so called simulated attacks, then the jet that came in wing below the bridge would have been blown out of the sky long before it got in that close. We are ruled by folks who would rather have put the whole crew of a U.S. Navy ship (and the ship itself) at risk rather than shoot down a Russian plane probably manned by one or two. Yes, I understand ,it could have led to war and many more would be at risk of losing their lives; however, our failing to act is such a sign of weakness that it may soon lead to war itself. Shooting down that plane would have been a sign of strength, and may indeed have prevented an imminent war, had the arsehats in Washington had the backbone to back it up!
You can bet that the Chinese, the Iranians, North Koreans and every other country with which we are at odds are watching intently with their fingers next to, if not already on, the triggers. I just hope we don't get caught with Obama's golf pants down and Kerry with his head buried firmly into Obama's ass.
