I find myself asking, since when does a snowman have a soul! In answer to myself, I guess since we live in Bizarro World with thinking like that, especially when others of his faith showed support for his ruling:
"It (building snowmen) is imitating the infidels, it promotes lustiness and eroticism,"
"May God preserve the scholars, for they enjoy sharp vision and recognize matters that even Satan does not think about." (Source)
Can you imagine a snowman or snowwoman promoting lustiness and eroticism. I think a snowwoman would be a bit too cold me to get me all fired up in the lust department. The absolutely perverted view of the rest of the world that this type of Muslim cleric has is truly bizarre and never ceases to amaze and disgust me.
