If this woman is the most popular person in U.S. politics right now, and remains so heading toward 2016, we are doomed when the 2016 election actually rolls around.

I think it quite possible that one could only find him or herself hoping for something to afflict her popularity - like an aneurysm of the brain God increasing someone else in popularity by a hundred fold, hopefully someone of the Libertarian or Conservative ilk.
