So, Can American Leftists Tell Me...

... if this tragedy had taken place in the United States of America, would the leftists here be calling for the ban of matches,
pyrotechnics, maybe even fire in general. Or would they be demanding the ban of rock groups performing in night clubs (or for bans on all of them). After all, isn't that the exact same logic used by American leftists regarding their efforts on gun-control!

Fuck Obama, Fuck Soros, Fuck Clinton,  Fuck Schumer, Fuck The Brady Bunch Campaign, Fuck Bloomberg and all the others.

The Nut Does Not Fall Far From The Tree...

...even if it is a gun-nut and winds up in Arkansas for the weekend visiting friends. Yes, Brendan (the nut, so to speak) is down in Arkansas for the weekend with his friend Zack (another gun-nut to be sure). They are visiting their friend Walter (yet another confirmed gun-nut).

Walter was your typical NY kid; well, more or less! He relocated to Arkansas after college, where he found a job and almost immediately started to morph into a redneck true American.

Brendan, eager and ready to go.
Zack in reload mode.
Walter blasting away.

In the event this all might make one wonder if a kid that moved from NY to Arkansas could ever be truly happy, just look at the following shot. I'd say he looks happy to me.

It's nice to know that if my son ever needs to flee the zombie apocalypse here in NY, he has friends in America.

College Students Old Enough To Vote But Obviously Not Smart Enough To Do It Intelligently

The below video is a year old and you may have seen it before. If you have not seen it, make sure to watch it. if you already have seen it, watch it again. it is worth watching again and again especially if you have children or if you ever converse with the younger generation or if you wonder exactly what it is they are teaching in schools today; obviously it is not United States history.

Folks, if you care anything about our history and assuring that it remains unforgotten altogether then you should be talking about it with the young folks in America, especially with your own children. Then again, it might be a good idea to discuss things like current events and politics with them too.

It boggles my mind that these airheads had no clue as to who fought or won the Civil War, from whom the United States gained independence, or who is our current vice president. Yet they knew who was Snookie (I had almost no clue except for seeing the name in some commercials on TV awhile back) or who was married to whom in the world of entertainment. Our educational system and especially our educators are an absolute disgrace when college students do not have a clue as to some of the most basic questions that could be asked about our history or our current federal government. Then again, so too are a disgrace the parents who never took the time to get their kids involved enough in our country's history and day to day business enough to know those basic historical facts or to know who is our vice president.

A hat tip and my thanks to Rich M for reminding me of that video.

Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder...

...or should it be said that beauty is in the eye of the beheld?

Just in case you were wondering to exactly what that little jewel belongs, it is the left eye of the harlequin crested gecko female I picked up today at the Long Island Reptile Expo.

The breeder/ dealer from whom I got it was John Heiser, who breeds only high quality geckos. The gecko itself was in shed and probably looks better by now because by the time I got it home it was already beginning to slough off its old skin. More pics at a later date.

We Thought We'd Get To Shoot A Thompson...

Quick Comment on The West Virginia Bloggershoot

Brendan and I had an absolutely excellent time and we shot up a worthwhile expenditure of ammo; although, we did not shoot anywhere nearly as much ammo as I had brought along. It was the first time we shot the Savage Axis at 100 yards, only had a chance to shoot it in an indoor range before. It took a bit of sighting in but was decent shooter after that. We also shot the Marlin 25MN at that same distance and it was also a decent performer at that range. Then again, we both did pretty good with the Remington R1 and Beretta 92FS at 100 yards, better than expected. More on all that later in another post.

QUICK ONE CALIBER AMMO INVENTORY

I just did a fairly quick inventory of my 9mm pistol ammo. As soon as I was done counting, I realized I had better start buying morec because it sure can disappear fast over the course of two or three shooting outings. I had a decent amount of 9mm on hand this past July only to find today that I have depleted 2/5 of my stock since then. I still have a good amount of it on hand but heck, the next thing I know, I could deplete another 2/5 of it and that would leave me uncomfortably low. With the upcoming bloggershoot in West Virginia, I figure we will shoot at least a few hundred rounds of it. Thus, the 500 rounds I just ordered yesterday will do little to nothing to build up my supply. I need to work more to earn more, so I can buy more 9mm ammo. At least a few to several cases more of it would be nice to have on hand.

Actually NY State Required Background Checks...

...for ammunition purchases long before California thought of it. Then NY suspended that requirement - probably only until they can get their own BG system up and running. In all likelihood that would be because they discovered that the NICS system does not allow for checks to be run on purchases of ammunition and of course NY State almost undoubtedly expected the feds to bend over backwards and run the checks for them. NY's governor Cuomo attempted to make it look as if he was giving in some on this but my bet is that he realized the state had absolutely zero capability to run the checks. More info on the NY requirement here

Regardless of who was first, California politicians are now calling for background checks to be run for ammunition purchases. More info here.

Buy ammo now in bulk - it may soon become an endangered species!

Good Deals On 9mm JHP Ammo

Widener's has IMI9EXC 1000Rrd Case of IMI 9mm EX-STAR HP Ammunition $219.00 / 1000.

I think that is a darned good price for 9mm JHP ammo but there is a catch. I am pretty sure that is pretty hot ammunition that was manufactured for use in full auto weapons like the Uzi SMG; however, according to the Widener's site, and this is a quote:

"This is ammunition has a very hard primer and it designed for the full sized pistols. It does not work well in the sub compact 9mm pistols."

So, I guess, if you have a large frame 9mm, this stuff might be good ammo for it at a very good price. See:

https://www.wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=100001732

I was not certain enough about it being safe in pistols, or in fact designed for pistols, to want to take a chance of it through any of my guns, so I looked elsewhere.

I found that Target Sports is offering Federal Law Enforcement 9mm Luger Ammo 115 Grain Hi-Shok Jacketed Hollow Point $15.99 per box of 50, same price per box even if you buy a case of 1,000 rounds. Shopping around, considering both price and shipping fees, that was the best price on it that I could find. See:

http://www.targetsportsusa.com/federal-le-9mm-luger-ammo-115-grain-hs-jhp-9bp-p-2590.aspx

I have shot it before and like it and it's price. I also like what I have heard about it. I ordered some of 115 grain Hi-Shok JHP in anticipation of replacing ammo Brendan and I will be shooting at the bloggershoot in West by God Virginia this coming weekend.

They also have it in the standard non Hi-Shok round @ $14.99 per box, Hi-Shok 124 grains @ $15.99 per box and 115 grain +P+ @ $17.50 per box

Obama A Muslim?

With the latest move by the Obama administration being the banning of pork as a menu item in federal prisons, I find myself convinced that the fucker is a Muslim through and through. A federal regulation banning bacon, hell even if it's only in prisons it is still as unAmerican as could be. More here:

Black Lives Matter 'Heroes' In The Making

I am guessing that either or both of the kids teens young men vile creatures fucking animals suspects in the video accompanying this linked article could become the next poster-boy(s) for Black Lives Matter. Just think of what probably would happen if one or both of them resisted arrest and got shot dead by the police; especially the one with the kind of sort of almost heavenly baby-face. My guess is that he (or both) would immediately be praised as a good little teenager who loved his mama and was ever so good to his granny, who always did well in school, who never did drugs and always did good deeds for the community and who had dreams of being Obama's son if not his heir apparent. His accomplishments would be praised even though most likely nonexistent and his potential for being a contributory member of society would be mourned as being cut down just as it sprouted.

All that despite the apparent fact that all he may have ever accomplished was allegedly being part of a crime duo that reportedly assaulted an old lady resulting in her winding up with a broken wrist because she resisted savagery. Of course, the media would do as usual and post about how the big bad racist police shot down an innocent unarmed (or armed - since it matters not to the media) teenager or teenagers (if indeed they are teens) for no justifiable reason.

Yep, I think either or both of them have be excellent potential to become the next Black Lives Matter heroes. Other than that they stand a good chance of winding up receiving Darwin awards if they keep coming across folks who resist them and who fight back.

Headed out east this morning, that is to eastern Long Island. It's my nephews' birthday and I am going to the party. I am letting the LIRR do the driving for the great majority of the trip, then my sister should be picking me up at the train station. If not, then I will be on the next train west. What Was This Arsehat Thinking?

I do not condone the attempted killing of law enforcement officials when they are lawfully conducting their duties; heck, I was a LEO for over 32 years. Of course, nor do I condone any illegal or tyrannical actions on the part of law enforcement officers while conducting their duties.

That out of the way let me just ask, what did this modern age William Tell think he was going to accomplish? Did he even for a moment envision himself taking down an entire arrest team with his crossbow before they got him or was he trying to commit suicide by cop or was he just an out and out asshole!

See: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/10/10/michigan-man-fatally-shot-after-hit-officer-with-crossbow/?intcmp=hplnws.

Whatever he was thinking, if thinking at all, I imagine he is where he belongs now, in the morgue.

If Only Obama & Putin Made As Much Sense...

...as did Massoud Barzani, the president of Iraq's Kurdistan region, then the war being waged against ISIS might come to an end much sooner and with much better results (as in the utter defeat of ISIS). So what is it that he has called for that makes so much sense - he wants Russia and the coalition (of which the U.S. in the lead nation) to work with one another to eliminate the threat posed by ISIS.

"“If there is coordination and cooperation between the international coalition and Russia against Daesh, that will achieve better results,” Barzani said in the statement, using an Arabic name for Islamic State, also known as ISIS and ISIL."

It is so sensible and so simple and would be so effective that you can almost rest assured that it will not happen. More here.

She Is Not Just A Nasty Bitch...

...she is a dirty rotten cunt in my estimation. I have spoken to quite a few secret service agents who dealt with her first hand and not one ever had a good word for her - only stories of her being a true piece of shit toward them and toward others. I volunteered for and flew as an air marshal for 5 1/2 moths after 9/11 and she was on at least a few to several shuttle flights between Washington, DC and NYC, going one way or the other, and from what I could see she always acted arrogantly toward her assigned Secret Service agent and often the same toward the flight crews. I witnessed that first hand. I would not vote for her for president if my life depended on it.

You must know by now, I am referring to whom I consider to be the Cunt of all cunts - Hillary Clinton. More about her wonderful vaginal attitude here.

October 4th - Today In History

"He serves his party best who serves his country best."

Could you imagine a politician today not only saying that but living by it? I certainly could not but Rutherford B. Hayes, born on this day in 1822, said it at his presidential inauguration and despite not being considered a very effective president he tried to live it too. More on him here.

In addition, today was an important day for another reason, much more important than most any of us probably realize. On October 4, 1636, the first legal code written in North America was instituted by the Pilgrims of Plymouth colony. It was an extremely important legal code that would help mold our Constitution in as much as it guaranteed things like trial by jury and that all laws be enacted only with the consent of the freemen of the colony. More here.

Our Next President

Who knows who is going to be our next prez. Maybe it could be her. Certainly looks gun friendly and fairly presidential too. If she had half a brain I might even vote for her. She'd almost assuredly have to be better than what we have now and if not at least she would be easier on the eyes.

Chris Mintz Needs Your Help

Chris Mintz reportedly attempted to prevent the Oregon school shooter piece of shit from entering a room to shoot more victims. For his efforts, Mintz was reportedly shot seven (7) times. He survived and is to undergo extensive surgery and medical treatments to save him. More info can be found here.

A relative of his has started a Go Fund Me page in the hopes of raising $10.000. Amazingly, it appears they are well on the way to raising at least 3/4 of a million as they are well over 600K right now. I just donated a humble amount and if you would like to do the same, or donate more, you can do so through this link:

Update On Microsoft Windows 10 Problems

Windows 10, with HP's help, apparently screwed up my laptop more than I thought. It became impossible to sign on using my fingerprint reader after installation, and subsequent removal of MS Windows 10 even tough I reverted to Windows 7 Ultimate which was my previous OS. After trying every bit of advice I could find on HP's website, about how to get the fingerprint reader to work, with no success, I decided to try a complete system recovery. That failed twice. I decided to try again today. The third time was a charm and it finally seems to have worked out right today. Time will tell though since I have not yet finished downloading and installing all of the darned 182 MS updates that the system now requires since the recovery brought the laptop back to its original state from 2012 when I purchased it.

So far though, almost everything seems to be working properly. I have one problem logging onto Blogger because it shows that an error took place each time I have logged onto it.  I merely close the error window and it works fine, so I have no clue what was the error. Anyway, not only do I need to finish the Windows updates, I also have to update all of the hardware drivers and all of the HP software. I figure it will take several more hours to get it all done, I have already been at it about 4 hours now.

While the problems all started with the installation of Windows 10, it has become evident that at least part of the problem was caused by HP. For some reason unfathomable to me, they decided to only update software and drivers for computers purchased in 2013 or later to make them completely compatible with Windows 10. That means my laptop, which was purchased in 2012, was apparently considered obsolete to the folks at HP and in that regard they decided to simply fuck over any customers who purchased high end (which is mine) or other computers from them prior to 2013. As far as I am concerned they are a bunch of motherless arsehats and I will be buying a Dell next time around unless they make some major amends for their crappy customer service. Regardless, I am pretty sure a lot of the problem must be due to Windows 10. I keep hearing about all sorts of compatibility issues that others have had and have seen all sorts of fixes posted about online. It seems almost as if Windows 10 is a beta version, a poor one at that, of a new OS as opposed to the new Cadillac of operating systems. If MS and HP ever get the bugs ironed out, I may try it again but probably no time soon.

Sadly, when I reverted to my original system configuration, Internet Explorer went back to version 9. I had version 10 installed and liked it and when I tried to upgrade to it all I was offered was version 11. I upgraded to that forgetting that it sucked because it does not allow the option to open sites in new windows as opposed to opening everything (as it does) in tabs. I do not like tabbed browsing but will have to get used to it now. Oh well, live and learn.

All the best,
Glenn B

Kilted To Kick Cancer Results

Here is a link to the team standings for the Kilted To Kick Cancer fundraiser during September 2015 (as of the latest team standings info when I typed this):

http://www.kiltedtokickcancer.org/fundraising-competition-standings/

I think an amazing amount of money was raised in one month for just about 350 donations. I have to hand it to the top two teams - they raised an outstanding amount of money for the cause and the first place team - Team Dragon - destroyed the competition!

I again want to send out a really big thank you to everyone who donated through team Glenn B. As per the team standings, we had 19 donations amounting to $580; however the final count has not been tallied and by my calculations we had at least 21 donations amounting to a total of $755. All who sent me a receipt for their donations through Team Glenn B will be entered in the raffle drawing this weekend. I will announce the winners sometime on Sunday evening.

By the way, if anyone has donated and not sent me your receipt and received acknowledgement from me that I got it - please let me know in a comment here or email me again. I cannot enter anyone into the raffle if I am not aware of their donations. The people I am aware of so far, who donated to KTKC through Team Glenn B are:

Pete Angelino
Nancy Aquila
Ed Barton
Ray Barrett
Rose Carducci
David Chan
Ed Dempsey
Bob Devine
Frank Dominguez
Maria Imburgia
Herb Kaufer
Alex Killie
Hubert Kostron
Bob McCrossen
