...or should I say happy Head of the Year! It's Rosh Hashanah the Jewish new year and being that it is the year 5781, there have been plenty of them. Hope your upcoming year will be a happy, healthy, peaceful and prosperous one.
All the best,Glenn B

I am not Jewish, but I am a Christian. I have a very large and long standing love for the Jewish people, dating back to probably the age of 10, when I read a book, by Walter Pollack, called Medical Block Buchenwald. It was about pretty much what the title says. And it so moved me, that I have never forgotten the Jews and what happened during WWII.
I am now 60, and it still has stayed with me. I know that it was a pretty heavy book for a kid to read, but once I learned to read, I could not stop reading anything I got my hands on,and my parents were collectors of books. Norman Mailer, Ernie Pyle, Guadalcanal diaries, Papa Married a Mormon, anything that they had, I read.
So happy Rosh Hashana to you as well, and may your new Jewish New Year be much better than our 2020 has been.

Thanks and just to be clear I am not Jewish either but know that some of my readers are of that faith.
I read the short American version of Night, I understand the published original was hundreds of pages long. Nonetheless, the shorter one was quite the depiction of what the Jews suffered at the hands of the Nazis.
Mylast post somehow got published, no clue what I did to do that, before I finished. One sentence to add: 2020 is a million times better than was life for the 12 to 13 million killed in the death camps.
