Y'all have a nice enjoyable weekend. While sun bathing, grilling and boozing though, please remember to say at least one prayer for, or take some time to solemnly think about, those for whom we celebrate Memorial Day - those in our military service who lost their lives defending our Constitution, our nation and her people during war. Never forget their contribution to our nation, in fact to each of us, it was the ultimate sacrifice. 🇺🇸

i find it difficult to "enjoy" this day since i lost two friends over iraq. it has become a somber weekend here and i find i get annoyed by people reveling in their extra free time, or mowing lawns etc. "a society can be judged by how they treat their dead heroes." g. washington. i wonder if george would still fight for us if he knew how we would turn out.
