They Call This Paradise - And Even If Not Right...

...they got it good enough for me!

All the best,

Squeezing The Trigger Means...

...just that - that you squeeze the trigger. Since you are supposed to operate the trigger with one finger, under normal circumstances, you are supposed to squeeze it with your trigger finger. Did you ever notice though that when some folks learn how to shoot they squeeze not only the trigger but the whole grip of the pistol as if they were trying to squeeze the juice out of a lemon when all they had to do was to slowly bend the index finger back to exert pressure on or squeeze the trigger. Here is a perfect example shown in a gif-file that I am guessing comes from an old movie. That the woman is squeezing like she was squeezing a lemon (or choking the chicken, as I sometimes call it) is readily apparent especially because of the position of her middle finger and thumb. Watch her as she does it, her fingers clench, her arm pushes forward a bit and also moves downward and she even gets her shoulder into it. It is terrible form for actual shooting; but besides being terrible form and plain out ridiculous, I'll admit that it sure looks good for the movies when you combine the look on her face, of pure evil, with it. Then again, maybe that is the look of  well deserved payback being a bitch when you least expected it!

All the best,

Berettas - I Love Them All...

...and could even find myself loving some of the folks who shoot them. I have to say that Berettas have a way of making the people holding them look extra good.

I mean just look at how good that Beretta makes her look.

All the best,

Most Days One Mug Of Coffee Is Enough For Me...

...but I will admit to as many as three mugs of it on some days. I cannot imagine drinking 23 cups of it, or dealing with the jolt that 23 cups worth of caffeine (taken all at once) would give me. That was the amount of caffeine reportedly found in a teenager's body after he died from caffeine overdose (source). His parents are now suing Amazon, among others, for wrongful death.

It is sad things like this happen but it is also about time we start taking responsibility for our own actions - and I think that includes even teenagers. The substance was legal to possess, legal to sell, and reportedly came with warnings on the package. As I see it, mom and dad understandably mourn the loss of their son but it was not Amazon, the manufacturers or other distributors, who were responsible for his death. Their son was responsible for his own passing.

All the best,

As Liberal As His Brother - Or Maybe Worse

If Jeb Bush runs for the presidency, as in actually is nominated by the Rebooblicans, I will send in a write in vote for myself. Now he is spewing forth the proposition to extend the tax breaks for wind energy production. Heck, maybe he is another Obama but in RINO's guise (source). We need a man, in the White House,  who thinks more like this: "In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem." (source).

Too bad they did not clone Reagan.

All the best,
