Hell On Earth...

..or so it has been described by many residents of  Gatlinburg, TN where wildfires have raged destroying at least 250 buildings and causing a mass evacuation of 14,000 people. More here.

Folks, I know it is the Christmas and Chanukah seasons and many of you are tapped out of cash because of gift buying but maybe you can find it in your hearts to donate at least a little bit to efforts to assist those impacted by the fires. There are probably many organizations to which you can donate but the only one I know of right now that is soliciting monetary donations for disaster relief is the Red Cross. As much as I do not like to donate to the Red cross, I prefer organizations where more of the donation actually goes to disaster relief, I sent them a modest donation in the hopes it will help the folks in TN.

He Is Becoming More Presidential...

...as each day passes. Donald Trump's metamorphosis from successful real estate mogul to being truly presidential has taken a major leap with his announcement that "I will be leaving my great business in total in order to fully focus on running the country in order to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” (source).

Yesterday, I noted how he and Pence have come to an agreement with the Carrier corporation to keep almost 1,000 jobs in the U.S. instead of moving operations to Mexico. All that while selecting his cabinet at a good pace. Even before being elected by the Electoral College, let alone taking the oath of office, Trump has become more presidential that Obama did in his almost 8 years as president.

Christmas Shopping Almost Done

I think I need to get three or four more folks gifts and I will be done with it. Heck, I even ordered something for myself. I mean while it may be better to give than receive, it is nice to receive too, so why not enjoy both at the same time!

Trump Already Securing Jobs Stay In The USA

Trump is already keeping jobs in the USA and He has not even been named president yet by the Electoral College, let alone stepped into the seat of power! If he holds true on this and then really does something to kick out and keep out illegal aliens, he will improve our economy markedly even though it will not happen overnight. More here.

Let's hope he holds true on his promises about Supreme Court Justices too.

Now, I just wish he would drop that RINO (aka: liberal) Romney from consideration for any position including janitor at the White House.

Lest it Happen & Some Leftists Deny...

...that such was predicted, or at least that the possibility of the Senate & the House picking the winning presidential team was made mention of as the real reason why the demoncrats are now seeking recounts in three states - you can read about it here and now:

http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2016/11/the_democrats_real_strategy_in_launching_recounts.html

There is, of course, the outside chance that they are doing so in the hopes that Clinton will get the nod but the thought of that is so abhorrent to me, because of the implications that come with it of a vast left wing conspiracy (where did I ever hear something similar to that I wonder) as for me to say, at least for now, I must believe that to be an utter impossibility.

Thanks to Mike G. for the link.

Today In History - Covered By Shit And Full of Bullshit

It's been too long since I did a Today in History piece and I have a whopper of a story for today.

Today is the 29th anniversary of the day that Tawana Brawley was found covered in shit and wrapped in plastic trash bags in Wappinger's Falls, NY. Soon after the discovery she commenced to spin a wild tale, a total fabrication (aka: bullshit), about having been kidnapped, tortured, having a racial slurs written on her body, some believed with shit, and raped repeatedly by a gang of white men among whom one displayed the badge of a police officer.

I remember the story fairly well but if you do not, there is more on the story here at History.com. There is one thing in the Histoy.com article that really gets my gander up. I am flummoxed and angered as to how History.com can actually say: "Unfortunately, Brawley’s story did not hold up to the close scrutiny that followed." Unfortunate - for whom? Was it unfortunate for that apparent lying piece of shit Tawana Brawley or for those three race baiting assholes Al Sharpton, Alton Maddox or C. Vernon Mason? Or was it unfortunate or for all of Brawley's supporters who stood behind her 100% regardless of the wild allegations made by her three stooges once it became clear as crystal that she had fabricated the whole thing? Or was it unfortunate for the media because several white men were not falsely arrested, prosecuted and sentenced and thus the media hoopla over this died once it was all shown to be vehement lies and they could not continue their show with it. No, that is not unfortunate, that is fortunate  - even though too late!

The fact of the matter is that it was quite fortunate that her story fell apart and evidently was nothing more than a sack of lies because the accused in the case were completely exonerated. Imagine what hardships they endured because of the racist and venomous lies spewed against them by Brawley and those three clowns. According to Steven Pagones, his marriage essentially fell apart du to the allegations (source). He left the district attorney's office and now works for a private concern. He spent years trying to clear his name and filed law suits against Brawley and her three confederates. While he won the law suits and was awarded monetary damages, the money could in no way actually compensate him for the torture his was put though due to the false allegations.

It amazes me that people believed, and some still believe, what claims were made against some of the accused such as the district attorney and the special prosecutor assigned to the case. Think about it, Brawley and her three stooges actually accused the district attorney of having taken part in raping her (probably because he stood up for their main suspect at the time, a police officer who committed suicide three days after the incident - but who was in no way related to it). They also accused the special prosecutor assigned to the case of masturbating over evidentiary photographs of her source (source) and the special prosecutor was not Anthony Weiner. Yeah, think about that for a moment and the utter absurdity of it. Just imagine the level of societal insanity that had to have existed for the politicians and bureaucrats to have assigned a special prosecutor to work that case in order to appease those who believed her allegations: so called black community leaders, many in the black community (many also thought she was lying), the media and other leftists and conspiracy theorists. Of course, the media ate it all up and put on a show like none before it.

So what has become of her. Last I read, she lives in Virginia working as a nurse and is or was paying restitution to Steven Pagones making her first payment in 2013 (source). Let's not forget though, she does not have to pay him a penny if she tells the truth and recants her accusations, as per an offer made by Pagones, but she has refused to do so despite the overwhelming evidence to date that she made up the whole thing possibly to avoid getting a beating from her step-father. Did I mention, we live in an insane world - I think that only in such a world would she continue to maintain her story as truthful.

A hat tip to Wirecutter who had news of the anniversary posted on his blog.

So The No Good Mother Fucker Is Dead

That is pretty much all I have to say about Castro's death.

My buddy Mike G sent me this link and it probably says it pretty well about how exiled Cubans feel about his demise; he was to them a despicable tyrant and certainly never was the glorified rebel type as the leftists in this country or elsewhere would make him out to be. Anyway, I will let the Cubans he screwed (who are lucky enough to still be alive) do the celebrating and I will let the socialist commie sympathizers like Obama and Clinton do the bullshit filled praising eulogies.

If I wore a hat, I would tip it to Mike G for the link. Tomorrow I will be wearing a hunting hat and will do just that.

Still Hunting

I am at it again, am up in upstate NY, hunting. I guess I should says I went hunting today and for about 1.5 hours yesterday too. Then again, I really should say I am out afield letting the deer laugh at me.

I saw squat yesterday. Today, I saw another hunter, whom someone besides me might have shot just because he sounded like a buck walking through his domain. Me, I wait to see what is making the ruckus before even raising my rifle or shotgun and he was lucky for that! I just saw on the news yesterday that some kid or young adult, somewhere in NY, shot and killed his father while hunting (more here). He reportedly shot at a noise, a noise made by his father, whom he did not know was out and about. Shot him in the chest - fate can suck big-time! What a shame and on Thanksgiving.

I sometimes hunt with my son and I am confident my son would not shoot me accidentally or otherwise. I taught him to be safe and careful with guns and while hunting; I think it took well. In fact, I wish my son was with me, he has declined coming along but I sure would love him to be with me. he said maybe next weekend or the following one - last weekend of the regular season for deer. Hopefully!

Also hopefully, I will bag one tomorrow. The only thing I saw today bedside the other hunter making all the noise were many chickadees, a woodpecker, a few crows (heard most - saw less) and a red squirrel (also saw a big owl swoop over my car as departed the area). I also saw a lot of deer sign but not hide nor hair of even a single deer. I am just about ready to give up on deer hunting - it's not like it used to be for me when I hunted my uncle's farm and saw deer virtually every year - many with 25 yards or less. Then too, I also saw bear and bobcat and lots of small game like squirrels, porcupine, grouse, turkey and even some rabbits on his land. I have seen only deer, bear, squirrels and a porcupine on the state land. Well, maybe I have seen a turkey or three too. The thing is I do not see any of them regularly. The farm was a paradise on earth for me and I knew the 150 +- acres very well. The tract of state land I hunt is about 500 acres and while I know some of it, I need to learn a lot more about it.

Tomorrow is another day and no doubt it will be a late start. If I am out hunting by 0900 it will be a good thing since I just had a few at the hotel bar. I am using the last of my points for a Holiday Inn tonight but at least I should sleep good like their commercial says. Stayed at a Red Roof Inn last night and that was not good. It took the clerk 4 tries to get me a room with the preferences I requested when I booked. Then the heater in the room conked out, plus the TV did not work. I was supposed to be there for two nights but checked out this morning, it sucked. Back to Motel 6 or Econo-Lodge next time.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Today is truly a holiday meant for all (not merely Christians) and the very first one was inclusive. If you don't like me being a traditionalist on this point, go fuck yourself but try to have a nice Thanksgiving anyway despite your political correctness or leftist agenda blinding you to a good thing - a diverse people but with us all united in giving thanks for all we have.

Repo Men Can Suck Big Time...

...well not all of them, certainly not Jim Ford. He had repossessed a car from an elderly couple, only got a block away from their house and called the bank and paid what they owed to date on their loan. Then he started a GoFundMe page and paid it off altogether from the sounds of it. The husband said it was like hitting the lottery. More here. There is hope for America yet, due to guys like him.

Utter Refutation That .40 S&W Is The Best Round On Earth

Whoops, I guess my post, immediately previous to this one, in which I presented undeniable proof positive that the .40 S&W is the best round on earth (and possibly in all of the known universe, Klingon Empire included) may have been based upon a faulty conclusion. I say so because I have just been made aware of absolutely irrefutable hard core evidence that shows the .45 ACP (aka: .45 Auto) as King Of The Calibers. Watch it for yourself and be amazed at how .45 ACP makes the .40 S&W look like a piddling cartridge:

Have You Been Buying Ammo Since The Election...

...or are you holding off as I intend to do for a few months to see if prices drop under Trump? I am hopeful that ammo prices will begin to fall within about 3 to 6 months of him in the White House (that is of course if the Electoral College does not pull some treasonous bullshit and vote in the b/witch who lost the election). On can dream and I am doing just that along the lines of some decent to really big price drops.

To The Woman In Walmart...

...who backed out of an aisle into which I was turning my shopping cart, then tried to squeeze between me and the shelves in six inches of space and who waved her handing at me to move like an arrogant bitch, then when I did not budge who smashed her cart against mine expecting me to inconvenience not only myself but three other shoppers waiting to pass that aisle, let me just add this to what I already told you in store (which had some people there gasping nd others smiling in approval): GO FUCK YOURSELF YOUR ROTTEN CROTCH HAG.

What were those lyrics in Psycho Killer: "I hate people when they're not polite...". Yeah that's me, at least at first. I believe being polite to everyone and I expect the same from them. It is or once was called common courtesy. When people become intolerably impolite, well that deserves a like response. So yeah, shit like that makes me less than polite in return.

Humility In The Media...

...is something you might think is due us, the audience of that arrogant bunch of know-it-alls, but is also something that apparently is not coming anytime soon. Well, at least it is not coming from most in the media unless maybe the report shaming of the media by The Donald was true and that blasting away by Trump actually will have some desired effect.

There is at least one, among the representatives of the media branch of the worshippers of Hillary, who has exhibited more than a bit of humility. That would be Will Rahn, the managing editor for CBS News Politics and Digital. In his piece The unbearable smugness of the press, he explains that there was/is a cult on the left that idolizes Hillary Clinton as a goddess and who believe that she could do no wrong - most in the media included in that group. He goes on, to in essence say, that therefore they, as in those among the media, had it right all along about dimwitted Trump voters except for how many deplorables were out there. He smacks them harder than anyone from within their own ranks has done so in recent years. More here. My guess is even if they read that article, few among the media or Hillary's other acolytes will learn the lesson Rahn attempts to convey.

Oh Deer...

...no deer once again. Went hunting again this weekend. I saw one the first day - a doe that was on the run from  other hunters. They saw me on my stand, which I got to at 0515-0530 (sunrise at about 0658). A group of five of them came by later, stopped a moment and chatted, as their leader a tall fat man shined his light right in my eyes. When I asked him to turn off he light because it was blinding me, he huffed and stomped away without saying another word as if I somehow had offended him. That was at about 0615. They then headed on to points unknown but as I later discovered with 100 yards of me and right in the direction I was facing with my back to an oak tree.  In other words, right in my line of fire had a deer passed between me and them. I found out where they had been from two ore of their buddies who came by my stand, did not stop or acknowledge me although I said good morning twice to alert them that they had walked right by me without noticing me. Later on, maybe 9 or 930, the younger of those two came over to my stand when I was off about 50 yards answering the call of nature and watering the forest. He walked right up to my day pack and seemed about to take a look and saw me staring at him. he then walked away and set up not 30 yards from me right in the path of my deer scent pads. What a dick. At about 10 AM someone took a shot at a deer but not before the knucklehead closest to me jumped up, shouldered his rifle with a cacophony of rustling, metal clinking, sling swooshing, branch breaking noises, then gave  good stare through his scope and sighed and sat down again. About a minute later, someone else took that shot at a doe. The doe came bounding by us but he apparently did not see it, nor did his buddy who was maybe 10 yards further off in the woods, again in my line of fire from my stand. I had realized he was there cause I saw a tiny patch of his blaze orange vest through the brush. I did not want to chance a shot should one of the other arsehats be in the way. Within the next 5 minutes two more shots, from what sounded like the same gun went off.  Shortly after that one of the original five left the area trudging past my stand. Then the two guys who came last and sat closest to me left. They stopped for a minute and the older one explained that one of the other guys, and not him as I had thought, took those shots but missed all 5 does. Did someone take aim at all five does at once! As he was explaining tat to me, the remaining four of the original five also left leaving me happy to be rid of them. I hoped they would spook a deer my way as they left but no such luck. Hunting on state land can be an adventure full of arsehats.

Saw two deer on the second day - one that truly looked like a ghost because a gust of wind had blown a ton of snow out of the pines we were under. It was broadside to me at about only 20 to 25 yards. Another gust of wind with a ton more snow blowing around and it was gone. I tried coaxing it into sight again but no luck. Not sure if it was a buck or doe because of how badly vision was hampered by all that snow but it was a big one which I will say was a doe because I did not see antlers. The second one on day two was within about 100 to 125 yards away. I had just stopped, one of my many pauses, walking along in my in mile per every two hours or so mode and wham my cell phone goes off. I forgot to turn off the sound. I did that and admonished myself for being a moron. I waited a it, took a step or three and that second deer bolted from that far out so I am pretty certain the cell phone had already startled it and had it zeroed in on my position. Almost as soon as I moved it ran. It didn't seem o move to far, got behind some brush but did not come out the other side. I waited a good 15 to 20 minutes and tried to coax it out with some calls but no luck. I also saw a lot of deer tracks in the snow on Sunday.

Speaking of snow and thus the weather, on Saturday it had to have been in the low sixties. I got a bit of a sunburn on my face for the 20 minutes or so I sat in the sun around 1PM. Later when I left the area, the thermometer in my car registered 58, that was just after sunset and it had already been cooling quite a bit. On Sunday, it snowed on and off all day. I got to the hunting area around 11AM (yep late but I needed to sleep in cause the day before in the heat spell knocked me out) at the same time in the afternoon, the temp was 29 and it had not cooled anything noticeable all afternoon. Yes, Sunday was pretty cold compared to the day before and the winds were reportedly fairly steady at about 15 with gusts to 44, although I am pretty sure they might have one higher. As I was packing the car to leave, I suddenly heard what I can only say was a train speeding down the tracks. No trains or trucks around - nothing to make noise like that except the wind and I got worried about maybe a mini-twister. Next thing I knew, a gust of truly huge size went by nearby, I could see the trees swaying madly but where I stood it was almost nothing. I guess that had been the noise cause it was pretty quiet, relatively speaking, after that. Never heard of that sound attributed to anything but a tornado or a train, now I know it can come with much lesser winds.

One other note, when I was getting my stuff out of my car to go out hunting, on Sunday at 11, a vehicle drove up behind me and stopped a few feet away, not in a regular parking spot on the state land I was hunting. I turned cautiously and ready for an asshole and it turned out it was the state game gendarmerie, aka: an officer of the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. First time I have ever seen on in that area. He got out, asked if I was coming or going, asked If the rifle he plainly saw in my trunk was loaded. I said it was not - he checked anyway which was okay by me. Then asked to see my hunting license at which time I informed him I was a retired LEO and was strapped. I wanted to make sure should I grab for the wallet and he saw my mg pouch of holster he did not think I was going for a gun. He checked my license and talked for a bit. Nice guy, Eric something or other (I am bad at names). As we were talking, two other hunters were leaving and he did likewise with them. I went off to hunt.

Later on Sunday, after my half day in the woods, just before I pulled out of the parking area, a couple of other hunters came out of the woods and asked if I had seen anything. When I said I had seen two does they were amazed an said that was excellent cause they had not seen anything. Then I mentioned I had seen lots of deer tracks and they seemed to think I was full of shit because they said they had not seen any. I described where I had seen most of them and that they were fresh in the snow which had not been there yesterday and they just gave me that hairy eyeball kind of a look you give a bull shitter. I don't know about them, but I can across at least 15 to 20 different sets of tracks, some with two to three deer in a set. I also followed two sets of hunters tracks in the snow - boot tracks that stepped on many a deer track! I plan to go back there this coming weekend, hopefully Brendan will come along this time. Now if only I knew which way those deer had been traveling; I have little experience tracking them in the snow, and it's been years since I tried it and I'll be damned if I could remember. Anyway, I will be studying that online this week to see in which direction they make their drag marks in the snow.

That is all.

For Once I Agree With Hillary Clinton...

...in as much as I wish she would do just what she said she has wanted to do, especially the last part of this quote:

“There have been times this past week when all I wanted to do was just to curl up with a good book or our dogs, and never leave the house again,” (source).

My guess is that millions of Americans would be happy to never see her again and if she stayed holed up in her mansion or some hovel that would be fine with us.

I Like Fox News But...

...some of their reporters and obviously some of their editors, need to get a refresher course in reporting so that their stories make sense. Take this blurb as a prime example of what I mean, it is from an article telling about a mystery plane circling Denver, Co:

"The Denver Channel reported that the flight named IRON99 was flying from California and it was heading over the Pacific Ocean until it veered back toward the west and eventually over Denver." (source)

Does the direction of travel of that aircraft, as described in that sentence, make sense to you. It certainly does not to me. If it was flying from California and heading over the Pacific (I am guessing the Pacific Ocean) then it was most likely traveling west or SW or NW. However, the sentence says it then veered back toward the west and eventually over Denver. Excuse me for asking but isn't Denver east of California?

Of course, it is not just limited to Fox News. We have a generation of nitwits running things today or so it seems to me.

Terminator - A Prediction In The Making

The movie Terminator may wind up being not all that far off from becoming a reality. It's been reported that Russia is developing a killer robot that will be able to detect and destroy a human up to 4 miles away and will be able to detect and destroy enemy vehicles and drones up to 6 miles distant (source). With artificial intelligence where it is already at and where it probably soon will be - a combination of the robot with that intelligence could possibly result in robots gone berserk.

Trump Back Peddling

Donald Trump made many bold and refreshing campaign promises. Among the many, just to name a few, were that he would:
prosecute Hillary Clinton, deport all illegal aliens, he will build a wall along our border with Mexico and Mexico will pay for it, would be very pro right to keep and bear arms, would appoint conservative Supreme Court Justices, would pull the U.S. out of NATO and on and on and on.

Of the ones I just mentioned he reportedly has stepped back on a number of those issues now that he is president elect. In his interview on 60 Minutes (as per this Fox news report) he in essence said this about some of those campaign promises:

He has not given prosecution of Hillary Clinton much thought.

He will build a structure along the Mexican border that will include some wall but also some fence (and believe me, there would be a big difference, a border fence is much more easily breached than is a border wall, I was in the Border Patrol for 4 years and state that as plain and simple fact).

He will deport criminal aliens - not mentioning the millions of illegals who do not fall into that category.

Has told President Obama that he intends to maintain our alliances within NATO (source).

If he is already changing his tune on those issues - think about what he will do as opposed to what he said he would do relative to all of the others. So, will he actually appoint conservative Supreme Court Justices? Will he support the RKBA? Will he be very tough on illegal immigration? Will he deport the illegal alien leeches who are sucking our system dry at the expense of the citizenry and legal resident aliens? Will be build that wall to keep them out? My vote was about the most valuable things I have in my possession and I don't need to waste what ones I cast on a lying sack of shit who goes back on his word virtually as soon as he is elected. As for Trump, I will give him the benefit of the doubt for now. Personally, I think it too soon to judge him; I figure let's give him a chance and see what he actually does. Then if he starts going back on his campaign promises, maybe we can sue him for breach of promise and have his arse kicked out of office. I am hoping though that he becomes the best president of my lifetime by keeping his promises to make America great again and that would mean he keeps those promises. Yet, I am gravely concerned and am wondering is he truly a Washington, DC outsider with a different way of running our country at heart or is he just another lying politician spewing forth from a mouth full of foul slimy swill and saying anything to get what he wants. Only his actions and time will tell but I will give him that chance to prove or disprove himself.

All the best,

CEO Threatens To Assassinate Trump

I always knew leftists were crazy, especially the ones without jobs who are still, at least figuratively, being breast fed by their mommies and having their daddies award them participation trophies despite them being losers. I just never kind of realized that the psychos also hold jobs and good ones at that.

The CEO of a San Diego cyber-security firm reportedly has posted blatant death threats, on social media sites, against president elect Donald Trump. He allegedly posted this to his Twitter account: "I’m going to kill the president. Elect,". He also reportedly posted that he in essence was getting a sniper rifle and positioning himself where it would count; he even challenged the Secret Service to 'bring it". More here.

Folks this is getting serious and I surprisingly fear we may be closer to a civil war than I imagined possible in my life time, one that will be started by the left (at least that part is no surprise to me).

Piers Morgan Finally Getting It Right About America...

...or at least about the leftists in this country. I have to say, I never thought I'd agree with him on anything but am pretty much in full agreement with everything his says about Clinton and her celebrity and media supporters in this piece. Then again, maybe it was really The Onion that published it.

Hat tip to Peter Q for having that article posted on his FB page.

"This Is Not a Day Care...

...It's A University!"

So commenced a letter to the students of Oklahoma Wesleyan University from the university's president because one of the students had complained he had been made to feel victimized by a sermon given at the religious school.

Red the rest of it here.

Leftist Mother Of The Year

Hopefully, this bitch will be found and prosecuted for child abuse.

Some people out there must know the child and thus could report the mother. There may be little chance of that happening but maybe one of the many will be good hearted enough to do so.

The First Woman To Run A Successful Presidential...

...campaign here in the USA was not Hillary Clinton but instead was Kellyanne Conway (more on her here and note how differently Wikipedia describes her education than does Cosmoploitan with the nod going to Cosmo). Of course by run, I do not mean she was a candidate in the running but rather was the manager of Donald Trump's campaign who ran day to day operations.

My thanks to Mrs. Conway for a job superbly done for
the good of We The People of the United States of America.

I imagine that anyone with half a brain does not need to wonder why leftists and the mud slinging media are not celebrating her accomplishment; for those without half a brain let me explain that the stark truth is that their failure to do so, regardless of who won or who lost the election, is pure hypocrisy. The Democrat Party is supposedly the self proclaimed party for women (and just about every other special interest group except the NRA, Christian & Jewish religious groups, or groups supporting legal as opposed to illegal immigration). Their candidate, Hillary Clinton, was supposedly the champion of women. Leftists always have been yammering that Trump is a misogynist and on and on and on - you already know the liberal agenda against him.

Well, now we have a marvelous accomplishment achieved by a woman, employed by the alleged woman hating Trump campaign in an almost strictly male dominated business, that of running political campaigns and being the first to do so for a victorious presidential candidate. So where is the hoopla on the left, why are their no kudos for her from the likes of Hillary Clinton, Tim Kane, Bill Clinton, Huma Abedin (I wonder to where has she disappeared), John Podesta, Jennifer Palmieri, Bill Maher, Kanye West, Miley Cyrus, Cher, Oprah, Madonna (she has a lot of BJs to give before she flees the US), Al Sharpton, Bob Beckel, Anderson Cooper, Juan Williams or George Soros and all the others? Why is this not big news on the media, why is Chris (no tingle down his leg this time) Matthews not reporting on it in a very big way? Yes, there may be a blurb here and there but nowhere near the headlines that this milestone deserves? Why is it not being celebrated as a major accomplishment for the women's rights movement?

Don't bother answering those questions, I already did so above. Yet, just in case you have less than half a brain and somehow missed it, I will make it clear for you again - it is because the Femocrat Democrat Party (aka: the left) is overloaded with hypocritical arsehats and little more than that.

Glock Advanced Armorers Course

I am scheduled to take the Glock Advanced Armorers Course tomorrow but am wondering if I will be able to get a good enough night's sleep with the suspense of wondering who won the election. I have no clue s to the status of the election right now and am hesitant to turn on my TV to check if the results are in yet. Yet, not turning on the TV to see who has won could have me suffering from uneasy dreams all night in which I see one or the other a the winner.

Then again, if I do opt to end the suspense tonight and turn on the flat screen to discover Clinton has won, there is a good chance I will be unable to sleep worrying about what is to come for us. There also is the chance I would fall asleep but then have terrible nightmares of her being the worst tyrant history has known.

Of course, Trump might be the winner and if I find that out, I might not be able to sleep just because of the excitement of wondering what greatness America might regain under his leadership.

Damn decisions - do I turn on the tube to see what is happening and ruin a good night's sleep or do I go to sleep and toss and turn in suspense with dreams full of wondering who won!

Whatever I do, I hope I stay awake for the class tomorrow.

All the best,

I Am Truly Afraid To Turn On My TV...

...and tune into the news to see what is going on with the election. I fear very much that the Wicked Witch of Little Rock may win. I am not sure I am ready to hear that result, let alone being ready for her brand of governing or what may result in our nation if it becomes the tyranny I expect it to become under her reign. I am not usually a praying man but tonight I have been covering all bases and have said a prayer for the Trump/Pence team and for the US of A.

All the best,
GB

I Voted...

...and for most of the day I will not pay almost any attention to the pundits on either side. I will go about my business and then sometime later tonight, I will turn on the flat screen (used to say 'turn on the tube') to see who has won the election. Then it will either be a celebratory cheer in honor of The Donald as president or, if the other one wins, it will be the gnashing of my teeth of my teeth that will be so hard as to cause a trembling achiness down through my bones at the thought of another tyrant having been elected to destroy our once great nation.

All the best,

To All Of The Never Trump Voters...

...who are Republicans, Conservatives, Independents - if Clinton wins today then I hope you will be able to live with your decision because we will be thrown into a political, legal, ethical and moral abyss the likes of which this country has not seen before. Do any of you truly believe that Clinton is the better choice or that throwing away your vote, by voting third party or by not voting at all, you will be doing something good for America? If so, get your heads out of your arses because all you are doing is being selfish and not looking at the big picture. Go out today and do something for the USA, vote Trump/Pence to prevent that witch Clinton from taking the reigns of power and destroying any semblance of a Constitutional United States of America. If you don't vote Trump/Pence either because you don't vote at all or because you vote third party as a Never Trump type then shame on you when our country's very foundation and prosperity is at stake.

Vote Trump/Pence while you still have the chance. If you don't think there is a good enough reason to vote for them, then

VOTE TRUMP/PENCE And Here Are The Reasons To Do So

VOTE TRUMP/PENCE. Trump is not a politician and we need to clean house, the White House, of the typical scum who have been in DC for much too long. Need I say more? If you think I should say more, let me just show you this, a Facebook post written by my friend Kirk P. He said it better than I could have said it by far:

"Final thoughts going into election day. I have spent a lot of time contemplating what this election really boils down to. Oddly, a scene from a movie kept popping into my head. I am sure most of you have seen the second Rambo movie, where he rescues the Vietnam POW's. At the very end of the movie, Rambo's Col. asks him "What is it that you want, Johnny?" Rambo motions towards the now rescued POW's and answers "I want what they want - for our country to love US as much as we love IT!". For the past 8 years, I, and millions of people like me, have been told that we are what is wrong with America. That somehow breaking our asses to try to provide a decent standard of living for our families made us Enemies of the State (or as killary called us "irredeemable deplorables"). At the same time, sexual deviants who can't figure out what bathrooms to use, spoiled brat college students who need protection from scary words, and violent protesters who openly advocate the killing of cops have all been promoted to Sainthood by this current regime which clearly stated that it intended to "fundamentally transform our nation". Well I have been observing this transformation just as you have, and I don't like it. Not one damned bit. Then Mr. Trump came along. He gave us a voice and stood up to the existing powers who are trying to say that we are hateful for wanting secure borders and a safe and orderly society for our wives and children. And we responded to Mr. Trump in a way that I haven't seen since Ronald Reagan. I was too young to vote for Reagan, and honestly the stakes were not NEARLY as high back then as they are now. Even if you don't like Trump, consider the fact that if Trump was NOT the answer you thought he would be, we get to clean house again in 4 years. BUT - If we elect Hillary Clinton, we have given tacit approval to our gov't to literally act without regard to the law, the People, or the Constitution. The corruption that Mr. Trump has exposed (WikiLeaks as well), will be so deeply entrenched in 4 years of killary at the helm that we will never be able to recover from it. And to those who supported Bernie? I will tell you straight up that although I disagree with him on pretty much everything, our country would have been far better off with a Sanders administration than it will with a Clinton regime. And it has been proven that Bernie very well may have been the nominee if the primary was not rigged against him. And now you are going to vote for Hillary? That has to be like being forced to marry your rapist. But tomorrow we have the opportunity to stop all of this dead in it's tracks, and I pray that all of you will see fit to oppose the most corrupt human being that has ever run for high office. Electing Mr. Trump will put every single establishment politician in this country on notice - they will see that we ARE paying attention, and that we will no longer tolerate their crap, regardless of party affiliation. We will also be giving the finger to a media who is supposed to be our watchdog, but has become corrupted to such a degree that they don't even PRETEND to be neutral anymore. In closing - we have a chance to right a whole bunch of wrongs tomorrow. And if you DO vote for Clinton for ANY reason, do not DARE ever say "they're all crooks, it doesn't matter who you vote for". Because tomorrow we have the opportunity to vote for someone who is decidedly NOT "the same as every other politician" - just the fact that the establishment of BOTH parties have done all they could to stop him is irrefutable proof of that. So tomorrow, let's all give a great big middle finger to the corrupt powers that be - LET'S VOTE TRUMP!!!" (Reprinted with permission of the author.)

That was well thought out, logical, sensible, forceful, and just friggin excellent reasoning as to why any American voter with at least half a brain should vote for the Trump/Pence ticket.

Glenn B

Mr. President - You Got That Ass Backwards

When you vote, as an illegal alien, you are not suddenly a citizen! Yet, you said when you vote you are a citizen! The right thing to have answered was that only U.S. citizens can vote in the upcoming election and for an illegal, or even a legal, alien to do so in our elections would be a criminal act. The fact is that when you are a citizen is when you can vote, aliens cannot legally vote in our federal elections. That would have been the right thing to say along with telling the interviewer, who claims to be an illegal alien, that it would be a heinous and criminal act to vote when not a citizen and that it would be dealt with appropriately.

Let's face it, let no one make any mistake about your answer and its obvious intent - you were evidently encouraging an illegal act relative to one of our most cherished rights and important responsibilities - the act of a citizen casting his or her vote during an election. There can be absolutely no mistake as to what the woman asked you. She asked you if she, as an illegal alien, votes - will Immigration come looking for her.

It seems to me that you then gave an answer that in every conceivable way goes to encourage illegal aliens to illegally vote in Tuesday's election. You have apparently encouraged an illegal act and you are the president of the nation against which that crime would be committed. You sir, in my opinion, are worthy of only one thing - immediate impeachment.

Vote Trump,
Glenn B

If You Took The Time To Change Your Clocks Today...

...then take the time this Tuesday to change your country back to being great again.

At The Right Place At The Right Time...

...for I change was I today! It just so happened that I walked by the tortoise enclosure today as my female Hermann's Tortoise was excavating a hole into which to lay her eggs. I picked her up and checked but she had not started dropping the eggs yet, so I added a bit more cypress mulch to the tank to make it a bit deeper and set her down on it above the hole she had dug. About a half hour later, I looked again and there was one egg. Maybe an hour and a half or two later and she had closed over the hole already.

When I checked I found one smashed egg near the surface of the substrate and four more hopefully healthy and fertile ones further down. This is the first time, in probably the last 2 years or more, that I have caught her in the act. That smashed egg may mean too little calcium in her diet but I kind of doubt that since I give them a varied diet that should contain enough. Some cuttlebone will be added to her diet to supplement it so that when she lays again next spring or summer, she won't have any chance of a calcium deficiency. Mind you, I am not saying she is deficient in calcium, just that it could be possible especially if she laid eggs during the summer when she had free reign of the fenced in portion of our backyard which could mean me finding some babies in the yard next spring).

As for me being at the right place at the right time, knowing that she is laying or very recently has laid eggs is pretty important because the eggs require a temperature between about 80 to 94 degrees, for the duration of their incubation, in order to survive. Too cold and they die, too hot and they can die, or if they survive the babies are likely to be born deformed. It does not take more than a couple to few hours to kill the eggs either way. I got them into the incubator within 10 or 15 minutes of my realization that she had completed her task. The incubator is a Hovabator brand, the type often used for quail and other fowl eggs. I'll be keeping a close watch on it to make sure it does not get too hot before I hit the hay for the night, more likely to die if they fry than if a tiny bit on the cooler side. The thermostat can take several hours or more to be fully adjusted so I will be checking every 20 minutes or so.

Over the past couple to few years, when I incubated what eggs I found from her, they all either were infertile, died before I got them into the incubator because I did not realize soon enough that she had laid eggs, or died during incubation either because of disease or because the thermostat malfunctioned.  There is a chance that the male I have is not producing viable sperm. Of course, I suppose there is a chance that the female has become barren but I doubt that since she has produced viable eggs in the past - just never with the new male. With my original male the eggs were always fertilized but he disappeared from my yard three or four years back, stolen I suspect. I then put a different and much younger, possibly too young to breed, male in with the female. Too young or not, he sure was horny and has performed every chance he has gotten. Time will tell, this time around, if he is fertile or not because I caught the female in the act and got those eggs into the incubator without delay. They are also in a newer incubator so if the old one maybe malfunctioned and killed the eggs, it is less likely to happen this time.

Speaking of time, it should take anywhere from about 65 to 90 days for the eggs to hatch at the temperature range in which they will incubate. I plan to keep the temps between about 86 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. That should produce a mix of males and females or possibly all females if the temp steadily runs at the higher end of that. The sex of hatchling tortoises is determined by the temperatures at which they are kept during the incubation. The higher temps, within the safe range, cause all females to develop while the lower temps in that range allow for all males. Somewhere between them produces a mixture of males and females. I would settle for a mixture or all females. Either way, I will be happy if the four apparently good eggs all hatch.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that that ever horny little male finally is shooting live rounds. I should be able to candle the eggs to determine if the eggs are viable within a month or two at most or sooner. If they are alive and well, there will be obvious blood vessels lining part of the areas just within the shells. If not evident by then, chances will be that the eggs were never fertilized. As I said, time will tell.

All the best,
Glenn B
