Idaho A Firearms Owner's Paradise...

...and if only is wasn't so cold, I might move there. Why? Because there is something about it that warms my heart. Last time, though, that I was there was during the Winter Olympics that were held in Salt Lake City, UT in late 2001 or early 2002. I was working a voluntary assignment as a Federal Air Marshal and my partner and I spent 3 or 4 weeks in Pocatello, ID. The night we got there it was -25 degrees Fahrenheit (give or take two degrees). That was without the wind chill factor and it was cold.

Now though, it seems to be thawing out a bit out that way. The thing about Idaho that has warmed my heart recently is that it is striving to become one of the, if not the most, gun friendly of states. It has been making an effort to lure gun and ammo manufacturers to within its borders and since there are currently about 58 companies there that manufacture firearms and ammunition, I would say they are doing a bang up job of it.

All the best,
