John Hurley was in a store when he heard several gunshots outside. A
police officer had just been fatally wounded by a gunman. He rushed
outside, told innocents to take cover and engaged the shooter. He was
eventually gunned down but it is unknown whether or not it was the bad
guy or a responding police officer who killed him (or I imagine he could
have accidentally shot himself). The video, at the below link, tells a

What a shame this happened to a man who did the absolute right thing. RIP John Hurley - my condolences to his family, loved ones & friends.
Be careful out there is you ever do the right thing to help out in such a situation.
