...by the officer, reportedly a traffic cop, in Garland Texas when the two terrorists opened up on two officers (one unarmed the other armed) who had been performing security at the 'Draw the Prophet' Muhammad contest. One thing I have not seen I print yet, but that Michael Savage reported on his show today was that, the officer faced down both body armor clad and rifle wielding men with only a pistol! Imagine, he won that gun fight, against two men with rifles, with only a pistol and without being injured himself. Two to the chest and one to the head, we prefer em alive but we'll take em dead - the body armor drill ditty seems like it may have held some wisdom for the officer in this case; although, that is supposition on my part.
Geert Wilders, the Dutch lawmaker, who was at the event and who has been very critical of Islam, had warned us:
“Don’t think that what’s happening in Europe today, will not happen in America tomorrow – because it will.” (Source.)
He was right in part and also wrong in part as well. Yes, Islamists tried to wage jihad here in the USA probably because of the perceived slander of Mohammad at the event at which the shootings took place; however the result was unlike what has taken place in Europe time and time again because the terrorists were unsuccessful thanks to traffic cop with excellent aim.
I tip my hat to him, and thank him too, for a job well done. He no doubt saved lots of lives.
