I am nea...Glenn I am in New Mexico cheering you on. I am nearly 7 months into my lifestyle changing program.

I didn't even begin augmenting the foods going in for 3 months in...all I worked on was creating a regime of no food after 7 pm...more water...water first if I wanted food and the likes..with this I walk and do stationary aerobics(arms legs, squats etc)

OH and I threw the dang scale out...being 5 foot tall and seeing the scale made me sick...so i assess my daily success by the clothes...

And you know what? Your wife already loves you...so don't work for the quick fix, to drop 20 lbs but go for the lifestyle change.

I really have altered my thoughts as to before and after...and I refuse to equate 150 to who I AM...as a year ago 150 devastated me...oh and my blood pressure and all else are incredible ...steady pace is my mantra.
JenniferPen of Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18256174061249630595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32768818.post-26418506651645860432008-04-16T22:37:00.000-05:002008-04-16T22:37:00.000-05:00slow and steady wins the race...for the long haul!...slow and steady wins the race...for the long haul!

worry not about speed or distance, rather about time spent moving. As long as you increase your heart rate for at least 20 min a day then you will see improvements.

Keep it simple. It doesn't matter WHAT you eat as much as HOW MUCH you eat. you can eat 1000 calories worth of raisins (easier than you'd think) or 1000 calories of chocolate creme pie. either way it's 1000 cals.

As much as I hate Rosie, she did have it right..."Eat less, move more" it's that simple.

Good luck!

We're on our own losing adventure over here at the Mightymom/Subvet household.MightyMomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02563721884001643857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32768818.post-79574810393831294552008-04-16T10:58:00.000-05:002008-04-16T10:58:00.000-05:00I think I have lost 50 lbs in the last 6 months......I think I have lost 50 lbs in the last 6 months...but I have gained 40lbs!!!
The key is the exercising. I have problems when my back is acting up, and the weight comes back when i do not exercise daily.
Good luck in your effort!!!!
