I've Always Wanted A Beretta Shotgun...

..and someday, if I hit the lottery, maybe I'll be lucky enough to own one like this:

It's a Beretta SO10EELL, available in 410 bore, 12/20/28 gauge. In the three larger gauges, its MSRP is a mere $95,880.00, in 410 it goes up a bit to $99,900.00. It comes with the opportunity for the customer to specify the engraving pattern of his choice and then about 300 hours of painstaking skill to make it look as good - or maybe even better tough I don't know how - than the one pictured. That is one exquisitely crafted and beautiful gun.

All the best,
Glenn B

Just a teeny weeny bit out of my price range. I did however make a deal with a friend at my range to buy a shotgun that's a few rungs lower on the ladder. Said friend owned a neighborhood bar many decades ago and always had people coming in asking for loans. To make sure that he would get paid back he started taking firearms as collateral. Naturally most of the neighborhood denizens never repaid the loans and he ended up with a huge accumulation of guns. He brought a couple old shotguns down to the trap range that I manage to show to us. One was a pretty, little Italian .410 SXS guild gun. While this was a real beauty, I was more fascinated with an old, kind of strange looking pump gun. It was a Spencer-Bannerman 12 gauge that was in nice shape. Turns out that this was the first commercial pump shotgun that was available. Yeah, I had to have it. Being a good friend he made me a great deal on it. Now I need to make some low pressure, short shells for it since the chamber is for 2 5/8" black powder shells. I've already ordered a hull trimmer and short shell kit for my MEC Sizemaster to brew up some 2 1/2 inchers........
